“Call to the Celebration”

Where is your hope? Where is your rest? Where is your trust placed and resting? Have you become weary in life? Has it become like a fast track in which you just can’t seem to keep up the pace and stay on track? Perhaps you feel overwhelmed and out of sorts with what life has… or is bringing you. Well, take heart for there is hope where you may least expect.

“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember,
as I pour out my soul:” (Psalm 42: 1-4a ESV)

The time of mourning is over. I once waited in dread for bad things to happen to me; “what if” seemed to always nag at my soul. I wondered what next negative thing would come against me and when the other shoe would drop. As a man thinks, so is he. So what I baited therefore got invited into my life. I lived in a spirit of poverty and never seemed to have enough because I expected that I would always be trapped there with no way out. I secretly hoped that someone would come along bringing my answer or be my special measure of saving grace. I also asked God repeatedly “to do it for me”.

Then the day came when I began to step out of that mindset and no longer embrace it. I realized that God had already placed the answer within me and He expected me to seek ways to draw it out of me in creativity and ingenuity as I looked to him for ideas of design and dreams of inspiration. He began to give me such and then I had sat on that to some degree for years. Now I am starting to take some real steps in real life where I am met now with surprises of “suddenlies” where I am called to simply believe God even when what He is showing me seems utterly and humanly impossible. What to me seem to be improbabilities, become in God possibilities if and when I am operating in the measure and level of faith to step into what may terrify parts of me or at least bring very uncomfortable levels of apprehension.

I have recently begun to work in a retirement community stepping into new areas of serving seniors who live in a realization of what may be likened to perhaps a flower that is fading to be here today and maybe gone tomorrow. Some have been faced with sudden life altering changes and others carry a sense of vitality and longevity and intentions of hopes and dreams still coming to fruition yet in a very different setting that they have been accustomed to doing life in.

I came back myself from 14 years of chronic disabling situations in my body from which at the time of duration never felt I would see the light of day and recover. Yet I have and still am walking out my healing in Jesus’ name and by His grace through all of the pressing and crushing. I now find myself planted by God to come and serve in this community. It is unfolding to nothing like I expected before I took that nervous plunge and successive steps to begin give back to others in ways previously from my previous of road of trials consisting of heartache, loneliness and isolation.

I began to live “to love” from a depth and level that can only come the heart of God, where self matters less and less with each passing day. This is becoming totally selfless. I have a ways to go and can one ever truly totally arrive? It depends the measure my heart is surrendered to Jesus and that is a process that takes a lifetime.

Now it is time to “bubble up” in celebration. In an effervescence, that is sparkly, bubbly and light. It is being in a new buoyancy. The reason is to be glad and worry about not a thing! The goodness of God envelops everything and I can only but sing.

I had to step out unto the water and engage the current of the river. Using discernment and discretion there are many tributaries and I have to “be current” while “in the current” of the streams. Then there are currents in the currents. That is how God seems to be moving “in the new”.

I “celebrate” in faith believing in what in physical matter may be yet unseen and not manifesting in the moment. It is feeling into the celebration of “who God is” and who He says that I am in all things and in every moment. He does everything well! My greatest weakness becomes His greatest strength. My imperfections are perfected in Jesus’ character as I choose to live that out. Simply say “YES” and He makes a way for all the rest, which is always best.

I say, celebrate and cultivate in extravagant love into every opportunity and then be surprised with “suddenlies” that culminate unexpectedly. “Build it” and “they” will come “alive”.

Stake your meeting tent and greet life stretching out the curtains wide and strengthen your stakes. Stake on a firm foundation in Christ and you do see increase if you are full of faith (faithful) as your Master. Be sure you are “in Him” for without Him you can do nothing.

Leave your garments at the door of the tent before you enter. Leave your past. Yesterday’s sorrows have no place in your tomorrows.

Have you been stuck? Some things will only move when you decide to enter the celebration of the goodness of God. If you are celebrating then you spread the cheer to everyone you meet and greet. Pour out in a movement of faith and don’t be afraid to let the cork of containment to pop and allow what is long pent up inside to be released in joy and celebration. Don’t be afraid to let go. Bursting; break out! The time is now! Be legendary if you dare to believe God.

Looking in Love – to Life

As to why you and I are here, right now; why we meet here on this page is no accident nor is it by mere chance. Seriously it is not about me nor is it about you. It is solely about the One for whom we exist and the reason for all things which make up life as we know it exist. His name is Jesus. I have no other message than the one that illustrates that His death, burial and resurrection set in course the correction and resetting of all history so that all may fully live and not suffer and die under the weight of the burden that rests upon all of humanity. He cancels the curse and cause of all that seeks to stamp out and nullify the reason for living. That is why I am here. Nothing else in life matters. If you miss the heart and matter of the message I bring, then you may be missing your opportunity to the see the One for whom and for the very reason and crux for why you exist in a human body here on this earth.

If your very reason for living, moving and having your being does not point to what Jesus sacrificed, gave and surrendered at the Cross for each and every member of humanity that has and ever shall exist and this includes you, then you are existing in vain. If what you are doing in life does not point to the One who holds every atom and molecule that holds the body together in which you exist, that expresses “you” to this world, then you are wasting and throwing away the greatest of opportunity that can play a vital role in transforming the face of life here on this earth. That may sound like a mouthful of words to you right now; however it expresses my heart in this moment to the best of the ability I can gather and present.

Do you realize how much and to what extent and to what level His love extends to you right now? Only you can answer that. I can’t read your mind. To this message we can be so very blind sometimes and that is because we are born into a nature that is out of alignment with the nature of the One in whose image we are created.

Jesus righted and restored all of that to all of humanity at the Cross. You are either “in Him” or you are not. That choice rests with you. You either know and are growing in that knowledge of Him or you are not. Life is centered in and revolves around that which is Eternal and all else is transient and will perish with your fleshly body and to put it plainly will at some point in time – taste death. You face Eternity and in the end that is all that matters.

God is the source and essence of true love, and any other representation of which may be labeled as love is perhaps a false imitation and of that that which is true, lovely, and of excellent report and worthy of all exception. Jesus is the living illustration of true love in action which is forever is in motion.

What are you living for? If it is all about you or anyone else or anything other than the mission for which for we are all here as a chapter in God’s divine story, then you are wasting away a precious gem and jewel in God’s eyes and you will never achieve lasting fulfillment, satisfaction, joy, achievement of mattering and making an eternal impression upon the imprint of humanity. I’m cutting to the chase to bring this message home to you to where you may actually receive and act upon it.

It is all and solely about Jesus; there is no other in whom we can truly live, move and have our being.

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”

“And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:15-20 ESV)

Now I rejoice in the sufferings of pain and infirmity that I yet experience in my flesh as the grace and glory of God brings me though which at moments seems excruciating and unbearable; His grace is sufficient every time. Through His sacrifice I am already healed and whole; it takes to manifest, in this life and thereafter. These are truly light afflictions in compares to Him, which do pass and they come and go again and again. These experiences leave an imprint upon my soul and I gladly go through them over and over again in what understanding I gain through them. I see more and more of the One in whom and for which I live; I see Jesus more and more.

I can perhaps share with you how you can get through anything. I have wondered why God allowed me to go through what I have. But my story does not matter. It is not about me. Please don’t ever look at me for the man that I am; please look to Jesus. What I go through is nothing in light of His glory. I will always strive to point you to Him. If you miss out on knowing Him then you totally miss out on life. I am here so you can perhaps be touched by the glory of God, which is His goodness.

If you connect with me at all in any shape or form or through any means, may it be to get a touch or sense of His presence. I have no other agenda, motive or mission in life other than to give you and all others through my expression of life whatever it takes, that you may touch in some way, have a chance to touch the hem of His garment. Any of my accomplishments count for nothing unless they enhance the Kingdom of God; and His righteousness (Jesus). Seek nothing else. Nothing else matters to me. The Kingdom is God is within you and I. Whether we act upon it and make it real in the life we live is left to our choice.

Is there an empty place in your heart or life that feels unmet? May you be found in Him. May you come to rest fully in Him and live fully to express His glory. Let go of the reigns, my friend. You are destined for so much more! His mercies are new in every moment; receive them!

Perfection in Love Fulfills All

How many struggle through life over supposed opinions that they perceive others hold over them? Or why do some dwell on “what was done to them” in their past and get stuck there unable to move forward with life at this moment? Why do we even allow such to matter or hold substance in our thoughts when the only thing that truly matters is that God has already established the foundation for all that is to remain fixed or established in the earth?

“Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. (Psalm 119:89,90 ESV) We have a more sure word of prophecy to speak into our lives.
So to allow one’s past to dictate to them who they are today seems rather foolish does it not? Why hang onto such? Why not place it at the foot of the Cross and let it go. What Jesus did at the Cross already has covered such

Jesus stated that the Kingdom of God already exists within us; a kingdom that cannot be shaken. “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” (Hebrews 12:28)

So how is it that we make allowances for the transient to prevail, direct and control our lives when all that matters and shall remain is that which God deems eternal and fixed within His Word?

“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain”.

So let me ask you what really matters in your life? Are you allowing “vain imaginations” to “shake you up” in the transient circumstances and to take root? These then become strongholds that will keep you at a stalemate if you allow them to.

People are never your enemy nor are their actions directed toward you to ever determine who they are in your perception. The only response on your or my part is to love them as God loves them and that is without partiality. Forgiveness in love will cover a multitude of instances where we may fail to measure up in one another’s eyes. Love is always a pure choice. It is not a feeling or emotion subject to circumstances. Where it is with held from another, there forms a root of bitterness to take hold and one creates the consequences that follow.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty to which you are called to in Christ. Don’t give in and submit again to a yoke of bondage and slavery.

We can choose to destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience that forms in our thoughts “before” it becomes a step that is taken. This is our obedience that makes our life complete. Do you realize what ” a sense of lack is? It is the sense of absence that surfaces where any part of our life is not allowed to be perfected in love. This realization is so simple yet it so readily alludes us, does it not?

Look at what is before your eyes. Live to love that you may fully live; will you thus choose? Love fully “as” you look and “before” you leap. When anyone measures themselves by another or compares themselves with another, they are without understanding. There is only one measuring stick or standard and that being what God has established in the heavens in His Word. This may we walk out fully in the earth.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are”. May each of us choose to walk as a child of God; true to who we are in God’s eyes, as we walk out life with one another.

Where Heaven and Earth Do Meet

A high place between two realities is where we are called of God to stand. It is where the lines for the battle are truly drawn. You may not seem to be able to discern in this moment of just where this is of what I speak. That is okay, just stay or come with me. For it is a place to which we never can say we have arrived at, for it is the very place for which our soul is destined to attain and it is who we are to become and forever aspire to press into. It is in the crushing and the pressing that life brings us that we discover what we are made of.

It is where the presence of God declares to you and I “I’m jealous for you. I long for what is inside of you”. This place between two realities; between the natural and the physical, is where you and I are a manifestation of what happens when heaven and earth meet, when flesh and Holy Spirit meet and what happens when God brings the two together and a shift in the atmosphere takes place; one that we can only but give full sway to. Are you experiencing this right now, this week or perhaps such is merely beginning to unfold within you and you don’t even know where to begin to find the words to even come close to saying “what this is? But you are willing to go with this nevertheless because the Lord is working in us to manifest His glory.

There is a different buoyancy and gravity to which the manner in which we experience life here in such a place, and can be liked unto being in water or soaring on the currents of air high and lofty in the skies where all is much different to what we experience on land. Is this connecting with you right now, what I an describing, is there a witness in your spirit this morning?

We are meant and are drawn to live in two realities simultaneously in every moment with every breath we draw. I believe that “all things are possible for one who believes”. (Mark 9:23b ESV). Do you believe God at His Word?

I’m talking about the realm unseen with the physical senses although the physical senses can come on board by faith and align with and agree with the Word of God and thus cooperate. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. This Word is as near as in your mouth and yet you must speak it before it becomes tangible to the senses. Faith and action in tandem is love moving constantly taking “the next step”.

The Spirit of God speaks expressly and continually and hovers over the expanse of the waters in which we live, move and have our being, beckoning our response. This response being cultivated in and drawn by the very love of God, broods over these waters. Being born again from above means being born of water and Spirit; both are essential, experiencing the unseen is being fully surrendered to the Kingdom of God in His righteousness where all things are added unto you. Can you truly declare Jesus as your Beloved and that you are fully His? Answer and ponder this will you, if you can declare that you know this from the depth and core of your very being? You see our believing and our walk turns us on to other realities. Do want to live supernaturally? Then you may. However you must consciously choose and act.

Do not lose heart. “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV) So I say that we cash in the seen trials and afflictions and invest them into the unseen realm of faith. They have not been presented to defeat or destroy you but rather they afford you the opportunity to move beyond that which is greater than you and in the midst of your greatest of trial, test, infirmity, or weakness is the strength of God made perfect. Greater is “He who lives within you” than He who lives in the world. He who the Son sets free is “free indeed”. “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 ESV)

You and I cannot afford to be more human than spiritual. The weight of the glory of God demands it. That which we can’t see demands of us to be more spiritual than we naturally want to be. The only way we can live out the heart and mind of God is to be immersed in the depth and dimension of His love and to choose to live in the unseen. The only way to do so is to is to make sure the seen is not overwhelming the unseen. Allow the unseen to dominate your eyes, your mind, your vision and your heart.

As you become and are so set on seeing the unseen, when God comes to you with a vision of an unseen future, you can have the courage to step into it because you have already grown accustomed to living in that way. Get used to living in the unseen. If we want to bring anything at all to the playing field that counts for eternity then we have to believe in what cannot see.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 ESV) Understand from a heavenly perspective. Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus. Your battles are never with people; they are with orchestrated circumstances in the heavenly places unleashed into life and it is your choice as to how to respond to them.

May God restore your determination and fight for the unseen. “But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. Faithful is literally being “filled up in faith” and this comes by way of being filled up with Holy Spirit. My prayer for you is this shall be so. Run well my friends this race, for only the one who finishes is one who wins in the end, and when all is said and done, may you finish well. Take heart and be of good courage; be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Fight for every dream God has given you! Never, ever give up contending for these.

“In Pursuit with Purpose and Passion”

Most of us at times enter into moments that serve for us to be “reality checks”. These have a way of stopping us in our tracks and examining in a pause just what life may be trying to illuminate to us right now in the moment; right where we are at.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven”. (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)

God set it up this way for everything to be given a time and space in life to be born, come to fruition, serve, and fulfill a distinct purpose and then it comes the time for that to fade and give way for something new to come in and compliment and expand upon that which has been. Every matter under heaven is given this and once fulfilled must be released simply to be what it has been, and now room and time is to opened up and cleared out for something new to have the opportunity to be born, flourish and come to fruition.

How many times do we tend to gravitate toward thinking back to those blessed fulfilling moments of the past that brought us much joy, fulfillment and satisfaction? Sometimes we regard them as our “glory days” and are we not prone to sometimes dwell on them so extensively that we begin to try to recreate them to bring back those feelings that we believe can continue to fulfill us? However what are we truly aspiring for? Is it not to be fulfilled?

Those past moments and times gave us what we allowed ourselves to derive from them. They served that time and place in our lives and now we must cultivate who we have been into reaching and expanding out into something greater than ourselves. Yes, I believe God wired us to always look to something greater than ourselves to multiply ourselves into. I encourage you to read and and spend some time focusing and dwelling on what the 3rd chapter of Ecclesiastes has to say about this process in life.

We can easily and readily grow weary in well doing. We in most cases do not like to have to wait for any aspect of our lives to mature do we? We want “the instant potatoes” that we can mix up quickly in a a bowl from the ingredients out of a box rather than take the organic raw material that can be grown in a garden and mixed in a process of patience, combination of scratch ingredients and physical effort which require time and space to be set aside and allowed for. “Be not weary in well doing for we shall reap if we faint not”, scripture admonishes us.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come”. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV) The old must be allowed to pass because the new arrives and seeks to come in. Are we welcoming “that new” into a prepared seedbed so it can take germinate, take root and be propagated into something more than that which has already been or are we trying to rehash back to life that which already been harvested?

A crop that has already grown and matured though its season by nature withers and returns to the ground to be recycled in its period of changing form in it’s dormant season. You get the picture here, right? If you are not living in today, you are looking backwards. It will leave you offended because you perceive that which you don’t have and what was done unto you and what you did not receive and you will keep trying to bring back which is no longer true and part of who you are now and are to become. Don’t get snared in offense; it will paralyze your life expression. I know, I’ve been there and I had to wake up and take in the aroma of the roses now blooming and beckoning me into something greater than me. “Just being me” got old real fast and it was stagnation and had me stalemated. Don’t be stalemated by deception; living in the shame or nostalgia of the past.

May we not get so focused and stuck in our yesterdays and who we have been that we miss the beauty that life awaits to to bring and unleash in us today who and what we are to become. We must cultivate the container of our lives in order to carry and bring forth that which is new and fresh which can always aspire us to reach beyond the limitations we often tend to impose upon ourselves in our minds.

Live to the fullest today, because you do not know what tomorrow will bring.

“I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him. That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away”. (Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 ESV)

The journey is more important than the destination. You are always on your way but never arrive. The patience in the process produces a prevailing eternal weight of goodness that will reproduce itself over and over again into continual expansion of something greater and the rewards thereof never end. You finish a race well run because you kept moving and pressing for more with relentless passion. May we live life to the fullest, loving with our utmost greatest and is this not producing the greater glory where everyone wins in the end?
