“Be all that you are in Christ to His praise and Glory – Anticipate This”

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth”. (Colossians 3:1-2 ESV)

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Don’t hold on the offenses; release them now; they will only keep you in bondage to the captivity of your thinking. Let the former things go that cannot serve “who you are in Christ”.) Adorn yourself with the beauty of identity that being “in Christ” displays. Cast off the restraints of old identiies.

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. All things are held together in their consistent creation in Christ.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.

Be thankful in all things for this is the will of Christ concerning you. As the basis for all of your living, moving and having expression of your being;

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Therefore purpose to live to love to live. “Baruch haba beshem adonai”; I bless you in the name of the Lord. May He bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and may His Shalom rest upon you.

A New and Living Way; Living to Love

How beautiful, all encompassing and exquisitely fulfilling is the dwelling place, of Your presence O Lord of hosts! Can the words that form within me even begin to express the magnitude of joy that arises in this moment? A moment that exceeds the very confines of time and spaces therein as I have known them.

Who among man can even begin to encapsulate, let alone fathom the depths of your love? As the heart of your servant David entered such place, so have you made the way to enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise for all Your sons and daughters! By the new and living way that Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach, opened for us through rending of the curtain or veil that prevailed over the heart, through his flesh, by way of the Cross.

And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord; I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” (Hebrews 10: 15-17 ESV)

My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion. As they go through the Valley of Baca, weeping, they make it a place of springs;
the early rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.

“When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter,and our tongue with shouts of joy;

Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us we are glad.

Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the desert places!

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him”. (Psalm 126)

“For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.

No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!

So let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful”. (Psalm 84:10-12 ESV)

Let us sing unto the Lord a new song. Let us make sing and make a new melody in our hearts with each other through the lives we live; as unto the Lord. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to come together, and let us break bread and share from house to house.
May we encourage one another, and all the more as may we see the Day drawing near. The Day of the Lord is at hand. Does not His heart beckon and call unto us once again? Do not the hearts of many of us burn as we hear his voice? Yes, as we walk along the way, allow for the response will you? He awaits!

“And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,” (2 Peter 1:19 ESV)

As the Lord Jesus said; “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! I bless you from the house of the LORD.” In His presence dwell. “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

“In Pursuit with Purpose and Passion”

Most of us at times enter into moments that serve for us to be “reality checks”. These have a way of stopping us in our tracks and examining in a pause just what life may be trying to illuminate to us right now in the moment; right where we are at.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven”. (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)

God set it up this way for everything to be given a time and space in life to be born, come to fruition, serve, and fulfill a distinct purpose and then it comes the time for that to fade and give way for something new to come in and compliment and expand upon that which has been. Every matter under heaven is given this and once fulfilled must be released simply to be what it has been, and now room and time is to opened up and cleared out for something new to have the opportunity to be born, flourish and come to fruition.

How many times do we tend to gravitate toward thinking back to those blessed fulfilling moments of the past that brought us much joy, fulfillment and satisfaction? Sometimes we regard them as our “glory days” and are we not prone to sometimes dwell on them so extensively that we begin to try to recreate them to bring back those feelings that we believe can continue to fulfill us? However what are we truly aspiring for? Is it not to be fulfilled?

Those past moments and times gave us what we allowed ourselves to derive from them. They served that time and place in our lives and now we must cultivate who we have been into reaching and expanding out into something greater than ourselves. Yes, I believe God wired us to always look to something greater than ourselves to multiply ourselves into. I encourage you to read and and spend some time focusing and dwelling on what the 3rd chapter of Ecclesiastes has to say about this process in life.

We can easily and readily grow weary in well doing. We in most cases do not like to have to wait for any aspect of our lives to mature do we? We want “the instant potatoes” that we can mix up quickly in a a bowl from the ingredients out of a box rather than take the organic raw material that can be grown in a garden and mixed in a process of patience, combination of scratch ingredients and physical effort which require time and space to be set aside and allowed for. “Be not weary in well doing for we shall reap if we faint not”, scripture admonishes us.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come”. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV) The old must be allowed to pass because the new arrives and seeks to come in. Are we welcoming “that new” into a prepared seedbed so it can take germinate, take root and be propagated into something more than that which has already been or are we trying to rehash back to life that which already been harvested?

A crop that has already grown and matured though its season by nature withers and returns to the ground to be recycled in its period of changing form in it’s dormant season. You get the picture here, right? If you are not living in today, you are looking backwards. It will leave you offended because you perceive that which you don’t have and what was done unto you and what you did not receive and you will keep trying to bring back which is no longer true and part of who you are now and are to become. Don’t get snared in offense; it will paralyze your life expression. I know, I’ve been there and I had to wake up and take in the aroma of the roses now blooming and beckoning me into something greater than me. “Just being me” got old real fast and it was stagnation and had me stalemated. Don’t be stalemated by deception; living in the shame or nostalgia of the past.

May we not get so focused and stuck in our yesterdays and who we have been that we miss the beauty that life awaits to to bring and unleash in us today who and what we are to become. We must cultivate the container of our lives in order to carry and bring forth that which is new and fresh which can always aspire us to reach beyond the limitations we often tend to impose upon ourselves in our minds.

Live to the fullest today, because you do not know what tomorrow will bring.

“I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him. That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away”. (Ecclesiastes 3:14-15 ESV)

The journey is more important than the destination. You are always on your way but never arrive. The patience in the process produces a prevailing eternal weight of goodness that will reproduce itself over and over again into continual expansion of something greater and the rewards thereof never end. You finish a race well run because you kept moving and pressing for more with relentless passion. May we live life to the fullest, loving with our utmost greatest and is this not producing the greater glory where everyone wins in the end?

There Flows a River

Amidst a garden of beautiful floral grandeur, there flows a stream of crystal clear waters that issue from a fountain of flow from within the foundations of life that declare anew a transformation untold.

There is a deep stirring that seems to be rising up from deep within my core of being. I’ve tried to put words of ordinary language to it but the scope and magnitude extends far above and beyond what the scope of words can carry and convey. So this morning I write from such a place. There is a message that must needs go out from the testimony of the life that I walk out now. God wrote the story and now there must an outlet from wherein a river of life seeks to flow.

As a people of God, at least from what I observe and sense at this hour anyway, we have forgotten the living essence from with truly life in Christ Jesus originates from. There is a fountain head of true extravagant joy that issues and flows and stems out from the heart of God. A river of love of such magnitude and dimension that seeks tributaries in which to run out and navigate it’s course.

Have you ever observed in nature how a river has formed and forges its way into conduit of flow carving it’s way through the terrain of the land and has a way of charting it’s own course and the lands must submit and give way to the flow of it’s mighty waters? The use of the land is usually transformed over the course of time in which the river takes over and has it’s way. Really and truly man has little to say in the matter in the end. He may try to manipulate and steer the river but he usually realizes that the effort proves quite futile.

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb’. (Revelation 22:1 ESV)

The river flowing from the Throne of God is a figure of the Holy Spirit, and the waters spoken of by David are such as the powers of heaven are intended. The kingdom of God is the work of the Spirit; and it is no matter for wonder ‘if’ He reigns in this together with his Son, since we see from scripture promises that we too shall reign with the Son. “If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He that believeth on Me, as saith the Scripture, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spoke He of the Spirit”. (John 7:37)

In John 4 we read that there came a thirsty woman and she was drawing from a well.
You see her life was ruined and wasted and her soul was bound for an eternity devoid of life, oh but then she met the Master who told of her great sin. He said, “If you’ll just drink of this water, ‘you’ll never thirst again”. There is a fountain, a river that frees the soul from sin. Come to these waters; for there is a vast supply
There is a river, that never shall run dry.

In the midst of what goes on in life around us, we are all called to make a declaration of what we believe in. A man who knows not on which he stands, will in most cases end up falling for anything; tossed to and fro by the cunning craftiness of a doctrine not sound and anchored in truth.

There is right now I believe, restoration of unity of the Body of Christ, which is what Jesus prayed for “that they may be one even as I and the Father are on”. In reference to Ezekiel’s prophetic vision of the valley of the dry bones becoming flesh and being knit together, there are many interpretations of this picture, but one of a united church rising up in unity and purpose, is a powerful call on us in these days.

The restoration of praise and worship to the Church may be represented by what is referenced as “the days of your servant David”.

David didn’t get to build the structural temple. His son Solomon inherited this blessed privilege. Let us rebuild and raise up the age old foundations. The true gospel is nothing new and has been here ever since Jesus went to the cross. Yet it’s essence is largely missed. A revised form of worship, praise and thanksgiving however has ensued in recent years. Let us remember that the little tent which David pitched around the Ark of the covenant (the presence of God) was a prelude to the temple Solomon his son built.

Worship now involves many people being able to come into God’s presence and worship him openly. In Moses time only one man, the high priest, could enter the Holy of Holies, once a year. David’s tent was a picture of how Christ would enable us to come right into Gods presence, through his sacrifice, and worship openly.

The “days of the Harvest” point towards what is the purpose of the follower of Jesus to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. “The fields are as white in the world” means, they ripe for harvest. The church is to live life out abundantly and fully where all people live, move and have their being. Not in walls of containment made with hands but in “the marketplace”. Where are your comings and goings taking you daily? Whose lives are you touching and when and where?

Declaration, Righteousness, Unity and Worship seem to form a theme; a preface.
The climax, the acclamation, is it not to enlighten to the eyes to “an understanding” of the ultimate declaration of hope Christ’s return? An enlightening of our spiritual eyes? A true restoration of the joy of the Lord becomes the essence of our strength in a literal since in physical expression of the life it it “is” what we live out “if” our life is to be worship in deed and truth. To be “In Christ” means expressly this.

I declare that these current days right now are the “days of Elijah”; the spirit of Elijah being restored to the Body of Christ.

How may we express the sense that these might be days, not of failure and submission, but of the sort of resilient, declaring, even arrogant trust and hope that Elijah had in his God?

These are not days of God stepping back and allowing the world and the church to roll uncontrolled towards eternity, but rather days when Jesus is calling on his body to make a stand, to offer right praises and to declare that He is totally “in control”. I am seeing that we may write the words “These are the days of Elijah” and “These are the days of David”. These are days of “Preparing the way of the Lord”.

Behold he comes riding on the clouds, shining like the sun at the trumpet call; yes we are promised in scripture of His physical return, however does He not return into the hearts of His sons and daughters right now in newness? Oh yes, do you not sense this? Surely there is such a drawing, a beckoning deep within the hearts of some of you? If so indeed, a vast endless supply of extravagant love out of the heart of of God is arising and stirring you. Allow this river to flow out of and through you. Ask for and allow for a new wine skin to carry and issue this “new wine”.

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
(John 4: 23,24 ESV)

I have much more to share with you. As the words come I will do my best to bring them, to be a living testament of the love and heart of the Father. I must pour out my life as a drink offering, whatever that may entail and however He asks that of me is yet to be seen. It is truly however such a blessed journey and a blessing to be shared. Count the cost and treasure the journey for it is this process that the richness of Christ does truly dwell. It is so worth every trial and testing that may be encountered along the way. Just stay the course, there times of refreshing and renewing along the way. It is truly far more blessed to give than to receive, for it is in the gift of giving that even more returns to you again and then there is even more in the reservoir from which you can continue to pour out again and again.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and bring you peace. “Shalom”, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.

Hope Anchored in Love

Because God’s love has been poured into our hearts we therefore have hope as we are justified by our faith in what Jesus has secured for us at the Cross.

Whatever promises God has spoken into and over you; remain steadfast in this hope over His promises to you. Hope deferred can make the heart grow weary as you may feel like you are in a holding pattern, especially when there may be a great stirring within going on and you may be saying “when God, when; when does it come into manifestation in a real way in my life”?

I sense that God would like to remind you that this longing is to be fulfilled as a tree of life and to not be weary in well doing, for you will reap a great reward from consistently and constantly remaining in His love in a steadfastness of faith. Faithful is He that calls you up to a higher level of walking with Him. He is actually drawing you to Himself. Don’t give into the resistance that would rise up and surround you but rather stay surrendered to Him and His love. He has you.

I encourage you to let go of the disappointments that come from the reminders of yesterday. These were rooted in old identities that do not speak of who God says that you are. Let go of these false identities and pay them no mind; dismiss them from your reality. The enemy of your soul would like to keep you stuck there so that you don’t advance into God’s very best for you.

May you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, keeping yourselves in the love of God, wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life as reminded in Jude 20-21.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
(Romans 5:1-5)

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God” (Psalm 42:5).

Live “as is” His promise fulfilled and you are the very expression thereof. Live to love to live, and as you do, you become the very love that He is. This is your tree of life is it not? May the peace, love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
