“The Eyes of the Heart”

In the silence of my heart I awakened this morning in a deep stillness of anticipation. It was like time was standing still in a great pause. Dawning in the skies here was yet nearly four hours away and I wondered as I wandered about this space. I was captured by a deep sense of awe in the presence of the Lord. There were no words forming in my thoughts. Only a sense that there seems to be a new “Hosanna” forming upon the lips of and stirring in the sons and daughters of the King to welcome in His presence in a new way of grand processional. I tend to be a natural worshiper and I often in recent days see myself in the band and company of those on the front line of worship assisting to bring this in. I’m just saying these are mere impressions that keep springing up. Maybe some of you have been experiencing something similar?

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1) It is time to arise indeed and I sense the call to pray a blessing over each of you right now; “may the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” Yes, the Lord looks upon you with favor.

“For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
(Isaiah 60:2,3 ESV)

Yes, there is a penetrating darkness entrenched throughout parts of the earth today nearly everywhere in most places. Yet at the presence of light darkness must always give way and be dispersed. One of God’s names is “Light”. At the beginning of creation, God’s first words to be spoken, “let there be light” birthed all into existence. Jesus is declared to be the Light of the world. God’s Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. Jesus came so that Light would fill the earth. Because of His work; the Cross, all is fulfilled. We just need to walk it out with our lives; filled with His Word, wherein every promise is activated through the testimony of our walk in this life. We overcome by the blood of Christ and through the word of our testimony. In His Promise, a Passionate Pursuit of the highest expression of our love based in His love is our Prized Possession. May we possess it most fully indeed!

“The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; (Psalm 19:8)

May “the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

And what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,

Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:17-23)

And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, (2 Peter 1:19)

Open the eyes of my heart, O Lord, I want to see you in greater depth, height and breadth; seeing You high and lifted up and shining in the light of Your glory.
Pour out Your power and love as we sing holy, holy, holy are You Lord! May new sight come and be displayed.

It is in the eyes that out of which, His glory shines and emanates. I’ll likely be saying more about this in coming days. For now take these words to heart and I ask that you sit with them and then ask God a question as to what response from your heart would be most pleasing to Him now. It is that simple, but be passionate in that response and in the practice that follows.

“The Veil was Torn”

There was a moment in history when darkness was held in a pause.
Death seemed to have claimed its victory as the King of love had given up His life
on what was the darkest moment in history.

Placed upon on a cross they designed for sinners,
The Saviour of the world bore every curse for which His blood atoned.
In One final breath and He declared that it was finished
The end no one could have fathomed or known.

Then the earth began to shake, and the veil was torn in two for me and you.
What a sacrifice He did afford, as the heavens roared
In three days time in victory, He came forth.
Eternity was crossed for evermore.

King Jesus, all hail the Lord of heaven and earth!
The Savior of the world brought Heaven down,
All works declare His name and earth, sky and sea resound.
For all of eternity the Three in One, in blessed Trinity,
Bridges forever the gap spanning all Eternity.

There remains no longer a veil but the one conceived in mind.
It is only unbelief in God’s grand design, that renders one blind.
And veils the eye of sinful man from God’s glory divine.
No longer may it to man resign.

May we we all, with unveiled face, behold the glory of the Lord,
Being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another,
Forever transformed. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. So be not veiled any more.

Through the eyes of faith, my prayer be, that all see once more.

May there arise in these last days men and women of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, who will give themselves and devote to prayer and to the ministry of the Word as they in their divine story walk out life as God designed.
Right where life is daily done in marketplace and square, the glory of his handiwork may it be declared everywhere.

A dream and a hope designed by God, birthed into His sons and daughters, even as by the Spirit of the Lord, the Word of God continues to increase everywhere from all four corners of the earth, may now it unfold as already begun.

As it is to be regarded that as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. Be full of faith; filled with faith; wherein no veil no longer remains. As God is forever faithful, may the same be known of you and I from this moment forward, forever more.

“Once dry; can new life Begin Again?”

Peace, bringing it all to peace, whatever may be raging around you in this moment.
The storm surrounding you, let it break at at the Name of Jesus!

Stilling and calling the sea and the raging within to cease as the waves are encapsulated, swirling into a slowing calm. Just as Jesus calmed the stormy seas of Galilee, He makes the darkness surrounding you tremble and flee.

In returning and rest shall you be saved, in quietness and confidence shall be your strength. In your moments of your greatest weakness is His strength perfected in you. A return to His original design in you. A story crafted by the Master unfolds in you right now. A story to to be lived and walked out in the earth, right where you are, as you are, becoming who God created you to be.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:1) The darkness was dispersed and Light became.

“The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)

Your cry may be; “Let me hear joy and gladness; and let the bones that you have broken rejoice” is being answered right now. Your sins are forgiven you at the Cross. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10) Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. (Psalm 51:11)

Jesus makes the darkness tremble and all fear is silenced. Breathe in the Living Word of God that is being spoken into you , then call these bones to live, call these lungs to sing and once again, I will praise Your name, Jesus!

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

The Word of God spoken over and into you comes alive. His Word quickened into your mortal flesh transforms from the inside out. “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:18)

“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6) By his spirit and through His Word you are made alive. Can these bones live live again, you ask? Well behold!

Jesus; grace and truth came through Him; The true light, which gives light to everyone, came into the world. To all who receive him, who believe in his name, he gives the right to become children of God, who are born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. Born again from above.
(John 1:12)

“If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.” (Jeremiah 20:9) May a new fire of God arise within and new life begin, in Jesus’ name!

After Jesus’ resurrection, on the road to Emmaus, those who walked with Him along the way, did not His words burn within them?

Jesus, the name above every other name, Jesus, the only one who could ever save;
worthy of every breath we could ever breathe, brings to life the dry bones once again.

Worthy of every song we could ever sing, worthy of all the praise we could ever bring. Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe, we breath in His Word.

Holy, there is no one like You, there is none beside You, Jesus, Open up my eyes in wonder and show me who You are and fill me with Your heart. I will build my life upon Your love, as is a firm foundation putting my trust in You alone, I will not be shaken because the bones that were once dead and dry are made alive once again.

God in these last days has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. (Hebrews 1:2,3)

Peace, bringing it all to peace, Jesus; Your name is a light that the shadows can’t deny, Your name cannot be overcome, is alive forever lifted high and cannot be overcome. New life is begun, Breath O Breath of God now breathe!

“I can only but Sing”

Where love and charity abide, there remains no divide,

In Christ we meet, God is found, and life resounds.

I wondered as I wandered amidst earth, sky and sea,

Jesus came for ones such as you and me,

All His Work we are, to praise Him for Eternity.

In Him at last and forever found,

At his feet may we lay our crowns down.

A song resounds within my soul, it’s endless melody ringing

Words cannot suffice to express the mighty expanse of His love.

How can I keep from singing!

Though storms come and leave just as they begun,

His mercies found new every morning, to Him do I run.

What can I say or do, but lift my all unto O Lord, unto You.

In the darkest night, life’s shadows are put to flight.

At the mighty name of Jesus all sadness and sickness must flee,

For I know of a surety that He walks with me.

In the presence of His light, all darkness must flee.

Breath enters, bones broken restored and new life has begun.

Sing unto the Lord a new song, sing unto the Lord all the earth!

Sing in the troubled times, sing when I win,

I can sing when I lose my step, falling down to begin once again.

I can sing as He lifts me up, as I call to Him in prayer,

Singing with my last breath, I’ll know I’ll be found,

Joining with the angels and the saints around the throne.
