“An overwhelming Love”

Having come to a place in my life where I’m full but I’ve not satisfied
this longing to have more of the presence of Jesus fill the depth of my soul.
And I can feel it with a fullness that my heart is convinced it must be all of Him and nothing less as He is my righteousness. Aside from this relentless pursuit of being fully in His love, the heart cannot rest. Only by walking in the Spirit and giving no place to the flesh can one ever pass the test that comes with living life. Abide in him as His Word abides in you is what I would say unto you.

I’m thirsty as my soul can’t be quenched and He already knows that after Him I must relentlessly pursue and go wherever He wants me to to go and do whatever He asks me of me. To only be about the Father’s business and everything else I must let go.

I have to ask him continually to dismantle the containment that I have tried to place Him in. It is only His love that teaches who He is once again, taking me back to the place where my heart was only about Him and all I wanted was just to be with Him fully present. Positioning me where the things of this world grow strangely dim in the light of His goodness and grace as I relentlessly run this race with only finishing well being worn as bands upon my mind.

It doesn’t matter what it looks like or what I feel or see, for the only thing I can cling to is His promises to me. I am His, and so what else matters? When the waves of the sea crash over me, it matters not whether I seem to sink or swim because in a beautiful way I need to be reminded that I’m in over my head lest I forget that it is always about Him and not to be about me. This I am made to more and more see, that in Him I am always so forever free. Is there any other way to truly desire to be?

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
(Luke 4:18,19 ESV)

In this world, as a voice in the wilderness, crying; preparing the way of the Lord;
making straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level,
and the rough places a plain.

And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” This is the mission of the messenger who comes to solely serve the Master. To fulfill living to live abundantly, to love endlessly. To be as Jesus is, to embody the Father’s heart. What else can it it be as the temporal continually fades and passes, only the Word of God abides forever. He or she therein continually abides living for the eternal which never perishes and knows no end.

All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
(Isaiah 40:6-8 ESV)

Who am I that the highest King would welcome me? I was lost but He brought me in.
Oh His love for me is everything. I’m a child of God, yes I am.
In my Father’s house there’s a place for me, I’m a child of God, yes I am.

I sing unto the Lord a new song; “I am chosen, not forsaken, I am who You say I am.
You are for me, not against me, I am who You say I am” This is my story and song which unto my Saviour, I praise all the day long.

To what or whom does your story speak and in your heart what is your song?

Will you choose to live to live to love, all the day long?

“Tried, True and Tested”

Tried, true and tested; may this be your testimony! It may not be very pleasant. I can see that. Your hope may have been deferred or delayed but it is not over for you. The heart can grow weary. You may feel that going on is beginning to feel nearly impossible. Will you in faith dare to believe God?

In order to fulfill the story God has wrote and designed for you and I to walk out has required a season or seasons of preparation. Has it seemed difficult and quite challenging for months or perhaps even years?

I assure you you that you are not done nor are you alone. Your season of captivity that may have isolated you is coming to an end.

God desires to reassure us that “according to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a “living hope” through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” There is a process by which we must be resurrected from dead works in our lives; where in a sense He removes the “dead wood” and prunes us back so that new growth can come forth.

Some things must die in order for some things new to come forth. Why is this process so necessary?

You are being kept for an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you. This inheritance is not for after you physically die, but rather it is a season you are are about to or are are coming into.

“Who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5) Yes, in the last days which we are certainly in.

“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. His revealing can come through necessary suffering of trial and process.

There are seasons you had to go through in order to become who God called you to be.
You must be strengthened for the times that are yet to come. Perhaps you may be one who has been permitted to be sifted as wheat by the adversary. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Seasons begin, endure and then they come to an end. This is a process of obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:9) As you persevere and come through, then strengthen your brothers and sisters. Like precious faith multiplies into the greatest of reward. Be not weary in it! As you are strengthened, stand for the one to your left and to your right.

Now we enter a time of the removal of things that are shaken; that is, things that have been made, in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Yes, let us be grateful. Tried, true and tested. Prepared and purified. A process of perseverance.

Jesus is the same; yesterday, today and forever. We are to be in his likeness. We were created in his likeness. A divine weaving of Eternal fabric. It is time to let go of the temporal elements in our lives to make way for the the lasting and the remaining which comes through the fire. Remember what you are made of. Royal descent. A chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession that you may proclaim and exhibit His excellence.

Are you keeping his Word alive within you? Whoever keeps his Word, in Him is the love of God perfected. If the love of God is being perfected in you then you will be “like him” for you will see him as He is. Seeing through eyes of faith His Promise; His Word received and engraved into your very being.

“Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.” (1 John 3:2,3) Maranatha, even so come Lord Jesus!

Without God’s active presence in your process, life will steal your true identity; who God says that you are. There is no battle that you find yourself in the midst of that you cannot be restored from. God creates always through His Word being spoken. He is speaking you into existence by His design. The breath of God is breathing new life into you through your wilderness or desert experience. Speak His Word as you receive it. “The shaking” is the process of the coming coming together of the tried, true and tested. Yes, you and I are to “live again”. You are a manifest Word of God! It is necessary to walk in our true identity then.

Are you truly “all in” when it comes to having received the work Jesus did at the Cross for you and I? Then rejoice that your name is written in heaven! Be exceedingly glad because He overcame this world already. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you. Be true to your identity in Christ.

At The Father’s Table

If you are hungry then you eat that which has substance and it goes a long way. You eat that which will stay with you so that you may remain steadfast and endure the patience of accomplishing the work at hand.

“Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” (John 6:27)

“What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answers this, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” Jesus said many a time that had meat to eat that was not understood among most. His meat was to do the will of the Father. So do what the Father shows you He is doing.

Does this sound too simple that it’s message is overlooked, passed over or simply dismissed? So we go looking for a sign to affirm. Wait a moment. Go back, for the already provided is the way, truth and life. (See John 14:26)

“For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
(John 6;33)

“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. Seeing the unseen is unto Eternal value. By faith, are you rescued and secured through the grace of God. This is the gift of God, not of any work or effort of your own. Grasping and clinging to the temporal will not last as in it you grow weary and your strength does not get you to your destination.

Jesus said “all that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. That which is Eternal is never lost.

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:37-40)

Jesus continues; “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

“It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. Not that anyone has actually seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father. (Jesus)

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life.

Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Who came from God and became flesh and dwelt among men? Only one, that being Jesus. Who created the heavens and the earth? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4)

The Eternal living Words of God are the substance by which all things consist. This is Eternal substance. “For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.” (Colossians 1:17)

Jesus states, “Whoever feeds on my substance and drinks from that which is secured in and by my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my substance is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my substance and drinks of my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe.”
(John 6:63)

You have a standing invitation to the Father’s table. From what are you partaking in life?

“If you can only Imagine”

More than you can imagine and more than you could ever ask or think. Now that is quite beyond the beyond is it not? Is that just too good to be true? Well, not at all actually!

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1,2)

So is death reigning in your life or is true liberty through the Spirit of God? You are either free or you are bound. The answer rests within the choice you make.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?“
(John 14:1,2)

I have had to let go of the complexity in which some people immerse their thinking into. I keep it basic and simple now in order for my mind to be able to navigate life. God moves and works in mysterious ways sometimes. So if I were to say I have felt that I have lost my mind then there may be some truth in that statement. Jesus said that one must lose their life in order to find it. Something has to be let go of so that all that God holds in store may be gained. So such loss in my case can be a gift from God. This I must conclude. Now seemingly there are dreams and visions that come to me. Dreams and visions that I remember having visited previously. It is like returning home. A slice of Paradise that appears to be on the rise. I am a storyteller and there is a story God wants His children to rediscover. So I discover the story God wrote for me pretty much in imaginary. I will write from there and lets see where it takes us.

Are you ready to become as a child once again who would love to explore the mysteries God holds for you? You can actually release yourself to enter a place of beyond the imaginary within your own mind. If you can imagine then perhaps you can begin to believe. Are you willing to believe God for what may sound inconceivable to your current thinking? Stretch beyond your thinking process. Then begin by believing the record in His Word that declares and defines what Jesus did on the Cross for you and I. He who is led of the Spirit of God will live in the spirit and not live in bondage. Then if you can imagine, let us proceed into exploring into what for some is the unseen.

Is your heart troubled by the cares of your life? Then dare to believe God. To believe God begins with believing Jesus. He would ask you this moment; “who do you believe that I am”? He already revealed that to us. Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6,7)

Yet why is that many seek after a greater sign”? Why do many seek after the signs, wonders and miracles in order to believe? “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” (Matthew 16:4) What was that sign?

“In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling. (Isaiah 30:15)
Returning and rest = repentance which is making a 180 degree turn around from the direction you are going. But many are unwilling to believe God. They would rather go with what is comfortable and familiar and what has seemed to work in days past. Continuing to repeat more of the same will continue to bring “more of the same”. Therein is no change or transformation to be found.

“In my Father’s house or many rooms” (John 14:1) Many rooms can also be stated as many mansions or as I have seen it revealed in dreams and visions, many mansion worlds. An infinite God holds an infinite creation does He not? Jesus has a place prepared for those who will believe him for who He is; for who He says that He is.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (John 14:3)

Jesus came and completed everything for you and I at the Cross. The kingdom of God is within you. Jesus is here and ever present. What is there to look or wait for? There is nothing external to seek.

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. Jesus said “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him, a spring of water welling up to eternal life. in that place Jesus has prepared there is a river; a river of life eternal.

We shall pick up from here next time on discovering this place. A place where we may begin to live and walk out the story that he wrote for you and I. There are new lands awaiting us in this life that have been prepared for us. It is more a state of being than a physical place that we may try to conceive. We must believe God and take Jesus at His word and by faith receive by the Promise that awaits us in his Presence which hold many rooms indeed beyond what we can ever begin to imagine.

“What is Life”?

What is life? Is it not as a vapor that appears for a short time only to vanish away?

Here but for only as a moment, as man measures time. Do we not get stuck in and hung up on the temporal? I conclude that most of us do so to some extent.

That extent can become the measuring rod for what we call life; and can end up defining life for us. However, God is Eternal in nature. He states that we are created in His likeness.

Why do we not see through His eyes of Eternal perspective naturally? Is it simply because we do not allow ourselves to be truly born again by His Spirit; born of both water and Spirit?

I seemed to have lost the ability to think in complexity or detail. I must keep all my thinking quite basic and simple or I get lost in process of life and can not arrive at a place of making a decision for a next step. I wait and pray. I have pondered what to write. I have waited for a deeper message from God. There seems to be no deeper message than the simple Gospel; which is my conclusion.

Why has much of the world made life so complex? Simple and basic seem to hold little value for many in this day. Does one have to muster up an expression of uniqueness to be heard, seen or acknowledged as someone having something of value to offer to their world? Why does that matter so much? We forget so readily that “in Christ” we all hold the same intrinsic value. Is Jesus’ sacrificial work on the Cross no longer enough that we readily dismiss it to assume way of making a life for our self that is self centered or inward focus oriented? Why allow someone else to define who I am? I am who God says that I am.

Contemporary thinking seems to elude my understanding at times. Is it possible to lose one’s mind’s ability to function in contemporary conventionality? Yes, I conclude; sometimes this may be so. Is that a good thing? It depends on the reason for the question. Sometimes God’s call eludes our defining of it.

What happens when my thinking no longer meshes with what comprises the here and now that I see with my eyes and how I feel about such? It is then when the surrounding becomes so overwhelming that I simply must close my eyes and sit in silence. It is then when there is nothing to do but be still and then the Words of God can become so very clear.

As I listen now to old Gospel songs and hymns their message is so clear, concise, and to the point. Yet the world has moved on in the greater sense. The message of such music composition no longer deliverers to the soul of many it’s original message. Why is this? These lyrics are ever so clear that I wonder how can anyone miss their message? Why do we always have to seek some new thing? Sometimes I gloss over in what becomes too familiar. It loses meaning. I sense that the church has been infiltrated by and for the greater sense, a religious spirit. Has such pervaded our thinking over many years of time and rocked us to sleep unto the Eternal perspective that should by nature, direct in the spirit of a child of God?

Heaven calls to me in this moment more than ever and it is not a place one goes to. Heaven can be already present if one is “in Christ”. Heaven can be, I believe a state of being and not necessarily a destination. Jesus’ work on the Cross is full and complete and lacking nothing. Heaven must be introduced into wherever we are in life and into whatever place we may find ourselves in. Yet “there” conflict can arise.

Why does so much of the world find itself so far from what God defines as Heaven? Heaven feels so natural to me at this moment and it is as though now it beckons me to come and merge. The Spirit and the bride do say “come” indeed.

What happens when one dies to this world in order to embrace “Heaven” that God’s Word addresses? Is this “going home? Is there “a letting go” process so that one may return “home”? The functionality of the mind can pose many questions when it’s integrity becomes compromised; be it due to disease or the need to be transformed rather than continuing to conform. Then walking by the Spirit is the only way through. Therein one comes into the peace that passes all understanding when it feels like I’m losing all then becomes one of “gaining all” as in the Presence of the Lord is true liberty discovered.

If one is truly born again from above or “in Christ” they are Eternal in spirit and never really die. They merely leave the body at some point. To leave an aging and suffering body’s constraints is immense relief is it not? So why is so much effort spent to “achieve” the worldly goods within this life? Why can’t we be and remain in a perspective of Eternity in walking out life; where a sense of nothingness can be engulfed in a fullness? When death is arrested then one is truly free. He who the Son sets free is free indeed.

Life begins in the Presence of Jesus and there all else gains reason to matter and remain. In Him all is made new. So then, what holds significance and preeminence with you and I?

I hope that what I have stated here today amidst my questionings, applies in some way. It is the first prompting I have received to resume writing. I hope to continue as long as have capacity within me to express what I sense is being asked of me; a day at a time.

As a City set on a Hill

I wanted to check in merely to let you you know I had some health issues re-surface again and have not been up to writing as I had projected in the story form. In this interim I am taking time to refocus and refine this blog so that I can better facilitate the rise and fall and ups and down with the health issues that I am encountering.

So I plan to be back back soon as I am currently seeking God for direction in this to come up with a more consistent flow of sharing the message I sense He is wanting to bring through this adventure.

As a city set on a hill cannot be hid; it is meant to shine forth as a beacon. So are each of us.

Just a few thoughts I want to leave here with you;
He wants to connect His people to the resource that He is to the unexpected places.

Our resource is is not in our ability but “in Jesus’s name”.

If “all things are possible” then you always have something to give.

Sometimes we have to look into “the unexpected places” and explore turning some stones over until we come to the very place He wants us to be. He doesn’t just bring it to us. He wants us to go after it; seek and we will find. Contend and remain faithful until we secure that discovery.

This is a process I am engaging in at this moment. So I’ll see you back here soon.

“Behold a Great Mystery”

What perhaps is the greatest mystery to us in relationships?
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. In the creation story taken out of Genesis 1 we pick up at verse 26 where it was declared “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. So as we look into the face of another we are beholding the very image of God or if not then what? Contemplate this, and then ask yourself why it might be that we could perceive otherwise? There are perhaps two elements at work in opposition to one another; one temporal and the other Eternal? One being flesh and blood, the other Spirit. When a marriage breaks up it seems this likely begins with the couple failing to recognize one another being the express image of God to one another. Did the marriage commence from being based on such expressed image or did they simply marry one another’s attracting qualities? It is so imperative to be in love with Jesus first and foremost before you can truly love another person fully and behold in their face the face of your First Love. May you and I choose Eternity over the temporal in every decision in life especially when it comes to relationships.

At the cross Jesus restored God’s original creation plan in full. We simply have to believe and act upon it fully with our lives. Such transformation is the next move of God through those who will act in belief and trust. “A remnant that becomes pregnant with the Promise”. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:45-49) Be the express image of that which we truly and fully are!

“And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over all His creation. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.” And now God sees the same that He always has since the Cross. May we take on the same Eternal sight and perspective. Being fully in the image in which you were created is a sight to behold and to set one’s sight on.

“This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.” (Ephesians 5:32) ESV)
