“Praying and Walking on-Purpose”

In a week’s time I can no longer even keep track of the number hours that have passed so quickly in prayer-walking a community where I recently started serving the residents and staff as a volunteer.

So what is prayer-walking you may ask? I was challenged and encouraged most recently to devote at least 1 hour/week or any time available to prayer walking/bike riding to shift the atmosphere for the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to increase!
I begin with praising God for His loving kindness and allowing God’s love for me break off any unbelief and shame remaining from my past.
It is to be led by the Holy Spirit. He has a purpose greater than my own.
It is to pray specifically against the imposed darkness and deception of the enemy.
It is releasing the Word, Purposes, and Power of God.

Interspersed throughout my volunteer service to the residents of the community and staff it is a pure joy of mine to walk the halls of the facility and the grounds in prayer through which I have been drawn into engaging in continual new connections that spontaneously seem to mirror what I have been praying.

The prayer never really ceases. When I leave to go back home it is only to rest and recoup for the night and then I am drawn to “I must needs get right back” and it is like I am so “at home” with the community and not wishing have to leave at times. It has become “home” to my heart which has been moved deeply to that of a shepherd for the many connected there; daily certain ones are laid on my heart as God shows me in prayer sometimes what may be “intersection points” that may await in the spontaneous connections that manifest. It is like this place is shifting into a whole different world in a sense. I am touching lives and theirs are touching mine. Never have I seen a level of procured favor like this open up. I keep getting invited into where I never dreamed I‘d find myself being able to so naturally walk into.

It has been about a month since my Cultivate Group which I started out of my church outreach began here and that has been new frontier. I cannot begin to contain the immense joy and the burden for the harvest that surrounds me that is ever increasing. This is beyond amazing!

“Suddenly’s” are being created for which are beyond words in the rewards they bring to my heart and to the added increase in the quality of life it brings to those whose lives I get to intersect with. It appears I am daily walking into creating the work to which God has called me into for such a time as this. I am merely responding to the “architect of my soul”.

God calls the things that “are not yet seen” as though they “are”. I just agree with Him and step right in. This truly matters ever so much in the Kingdom of God and physically manifests from the unseen. This is what I live for; loving people into the Kingdom. Joy unspeakable and full of glory! His praises rise like a weapon in His hand and there is no stopping of this. The fire of God keeps increasing and with it I arise in a new sense of strength, stamina, vitality, and endurance; within my weakness and limitations into His strength. Truly, “all things are possible to the one who believes who will fully respond in that level of faith to the promptings that come from the heart of God.

Capture the Vision

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
(Romans 1:16,17 ESV)

“I will take my stand at my watch post and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint”. (Habakkuk 2:1)

Is there a complaint, a cry rising up within you because you do not truly know who God designed you to be in this world in representing His Kingdom? Maybe you don’t know even “if” let alone “where” you belong. Let me assure you that in the Father’s house there “is” a place for you. You are chosen and not ever forsaken. Jesus has prepared a place for you “of many rooms” in comparison to where the level of human reasoning can leave you stuck. Look at John 14:1-3 for example.

Many of us are likely living far below the capacity God has already placed within us to be. Are you hearing a call to come up higher?

In order to be in right standing in the Kingdom of God, one must living “by His faith” based in the power of the gospel. Can you declare “I believe”? Is “that believing” producing in you a passion to so clearly see Jesus so that you can perhaps begin to see an outline for walking out your specific purpose in fulfillment of “why you are here” on earth?

You don’t need to be running here and there in frantic search for on-purpose living that which if you are actually engaged in, can take you aside from where you actually need to be.

The Lord would say now, “step out onto the water”. Take His hand extended. Watch the current though. You must become very specifically “current” in a “very current” God who also holds the blueprint for the tributary of the stream of the river He has destined for you to flow in. May I say unto you there is but one river of God however that river has its tributaries that distribute and carry it’s flow. Are you properly positioned in alignment? He knows the plans that are held in store for you. They are plans to prosper you and to not bring you into a place that will bring harm. Don’t be caught up into diverse distracting currents which can make it very hard to get back on track.

Please have a seat in Jesus’ name and still yourself for a moment. What is the “vision” God has given you? You are not to leave that to happenstance. He wants you to clearly see it. He wants you to be fully in understanding and deeply immersed in it. Maybe you have no clue what to do. That is okay. There is remedy for such.

And the Lord is waiting answer to you. It is time to settle the questioning and to dispel the doubts and fears and “before” you take another step, He would have you to consider the following;

“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
(Habakkuk 2:2) Allow Him the process to “show you”. Write it down and I mean literally write it out. You can give yourself a kaleidoscope unfolding picture of what you write out and “soak in” what God is saying. If the vision is not fully “in you” then you will not be able to have it manifest. It remains simply a mere idea. The vision is something you must be able to “become” with what God’s resource deposited within you.

Then you must be able to articulate into words “which move and stir you” into action and your action draws those to you who God has prepared to be part of the process. We live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God; not by mere physical tangible substance. Allow the living Word of God to come alive in you. “His personal word to comes out of the “logos” and is breathed into the “rhema” which is His Word “alive in you”

“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6). It is not by your own means, power or strength. Allow God to release in you “that” which only He can. Do not look to other people. He will direct you to connect with the “right people” in “His timing”.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end; it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2:3). In other words simply put, you will not be waiting for very long. God is always in motion and He intends for you to be in His express image and to reflect that which is characteristic of Him.

You have an appointed time from God to walk out what He holds for you placed into action in His plan. Don’t waste it. Be discerning and then be diligent.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is”.
(Ephesians 5:15-17 NKJV)

“Constructing Promise from Broken Pieces”

Are there times in your life where life just doesn’t make sense to you in the way that it used to? When the pieces just are not fitting or coming together? Where details in your life have become disjointed and an unrest and even weariness sets in?

Perhaps you feel as though you have lost your compass; at least the components that directed the affairs of your life up to this point just seem a little if not a lot “off”.

Maybe it is time to look at what has been directing your steps. Where have you placed your confidence? What has served as your surety?

In the beginning, the Spirit of God hovered over the waters and broke an unbroken silence as He spoke light into darkness. Then there was light. In the midst of your obscurities in life perhaps God desires to dispel some areas or pockets of darkness. Light always dispels the darkness that surrounds it.

In the beginning of our lives we are made in His image, formed and fashioned in the womb to fulfill a very unique story that no one else can walk out.

In the beginning man was created and was naked without shame.
Till he fell for the darkness, and there was night.

In the beginning, there was the Word and he was God and the Word was with God
And he dwelt among us and there was life.

The Lamb of God was broken and his life was poured out for the sins of the world
And there was life; for you and I and all of whosoever will follow by faith and believe God.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. The seen is created from the unseen. Ponder that if you will. Open the eyes of my heart that my understanding may be unveiled!

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. You and I too have an inheritance from God. It is already promised, fulfilled and imparted at the Cross. Jesus already has made full provision. This inheritance must be simply received.

Abraham went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.

Perhaps you find yourself standing poised before the threshold of your “promise land.” In the story God wrote for your life is to be discovered the unfolding of His promise to you. In order to receive the things promised, they are to be seen and greeted them from afar by embracing by faith the unseen. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

Acknowledge as strangers and exiles on the earth that we speak and make it clear that we are seeking a homeland. Rest from your weariness as a sojourner is sought and awaits.

If we are thinking of that land from which we have been called out, this affords opportunity to return. We have been called out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Going back to the comfort and familiar will not give you rest; it only seeks to perpetuate your weariness because it cannot fulfill and satisfy a hungry heart nor quench that for which you thirst.

In our wandering do we not seek and desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one? Therefore God is not ashamed to be called our God, for He has prepared for you and I a city.

In Christ Jesus, we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that we may proclaim the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
(1 Peter 2:9,10)

His mercies are new every morning so why not embrace them? Is it is time to take that step? There is a place prepared for you and I. Receive if you will.
