How Sweet the Sound

As I ponder a great shifting deep within my being that has been under way the last several days that pulls at my heart with great intensity, I can only but rest in how expansive the grace of God is in my life.

This week I felt myself captured and enveloped in what feels like a gravity well of a mighty extensive river of His matchless magnificent love that simply reaches beyond what my mind can even comprehend.

It is a love that I cannot find words enough to express its endless capacity that just gives what I would say is infinite supply.

In my heart I feel as though no matter who I look at; wherever I am, that I can no longer hold feelings of regarding them as an enemy.

There is deep compelling call beckoning me to simply love them for where they are, as they are. I wonder sometimes where they are at and what story are they walking out in the moment and how can I meet them in some way at perhaps some of the crossroads in their life that may be challenging to them in the moment?

I am not dwelling as much on my own concerns any longer and that opens me up to find my heart opening toward their well being. I seem to find myself embracing a preference of “doing nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility counting others more significant than myself.’ (Philippians 2:3)

Most of my life I have longed for and sought to fill an empty place in my heart that could never be met. Until this week I seemed to often seek affirmation from others and desired that they would recognize me as significant to them and offer acknowledgement that I was bringing something to the table in my world that was valuable to them. I even at times had in some instances exaggerated some of my experiences in my conversations to seek their approval. I find myself now letting go of such mindsets and releasing them. The dull aching longing of an empty sense of loneliness has dissipated into like a vapor that has faded away. It has been replaced by a sense of fullness coming from my Lord and Savior Jesus as He seeks to hold my attention and draw me ever so near that therein is all I now need and I find it more than fulfilling. It is compelling and irresistible, a relationship like no other. Before this week that was something I had to work at in some instances and ended up being more of a mental generated effort. I lived too much in my head; but no longer.

My Jesus has changed all of that over the last several days and that is simply beyond amazing. His love is matchless, magnificent and He is so majestic in so many ways. He surprises me at many a turn and amazes me beyond degree. I awaken at moments in the night to simply embrace the very drawing of His presence.

There is something about saying His name repeatedly as I am captured in such moments. The name above all names, He is. Truly now I can say from the very depths of my being that “His banner over me is love” and this is more than the words because He truly prepares a table before me that is beyond any dining experience I have ever encountered. That my friends, is how we come to have no enemies in our life. It is a process that only the Master can do. I cannot conjure it up on my own.

I left everything at the cross this past week at His feet. I laid it all down without reservation and with no conditional degree. I gave it all to Him and let it go and now I am free. Yes, so free indeed. I have not arrived but I am moving toward Him continually. I came just as I was. Even though He initially redeemed my life from the pit of sin and shame back in 1978 I never truly knew Him to the extent that I know Him today. I used to “seek a certain way of feeling”; now I live in a sense of “being”. A constant continuity of what I brfore had to generate. Being pursued accentuates pursuit; amazing how that works!

I feel as though I am in need of nothing now because to me He is actualized as the source of all things and He is to me the Life Giver and with Him, in Him and through Him comes all things. This is my story and my song, which I sing all the day long and He dwells in the praises that to Him I bring. Talk about being reborn…again, my life is certainly on a new highway!

May the Eyes of our Heart be Opened unto a View of Eternity

Do life’s issues and challenges seem cloudy to you right now? Have you tried to apply God’s Word to your life and still find yourself left in a fog? Well, the mysteries of the gospel are being made simplified and all that we need to do is believe what God has to say about your life and mine which each carry their own unique story.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Oh I want the Father’s blessing! I so desire to bless His heart!

We are to be the blessed offering to the Father, who has blessed us “in Christ” with “every spiritual blessing” in the heavenly places. Heaven was separated from the earth when man became separated from God in the garden of Eden. Heaven became veiled or separated from the earth.

Even as he chose “us”-“ in him” before the foundation of the world, (before the earth was formed) because He formed you and I in our inward my inward parts; knitted together in our mother’s womb. Knitted together in Him. For “in Christ” do all things consist or are held together by that which every joint supplies. Every joint means every man, woman and child “is” destined to be knit together as “One in Christ”. Each one is given free a free will to choose to return to God’s divine order or not. (“From whom the whole body, joined and fit together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” (Ephesians 4:16 ESV)

I praise you, O Lord for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. (God formed Adam from the dirt of the earth). Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book, they were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:16-19) You and I each have a story written for us in God’s book.

May we be made holy and blameless before him. (Through the blood of Jesus and His body sacrificed on the cross) Believing in His finished and all complete work sacrificed for us on the cross. Thus fulfilling payment for the sins of the world and redeeming us back and restoring us in fellowship and communion to the Father.

In love he “predestined” us for adoption “to himself” as sons and daughters “through Jesus Christ”,

This is according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. (The Body of Christ Jesus; the ecclessia.)

In him (In Jesus) we have redemption through “His blood”,
granting us forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. This grace, which he poured upon us, in all wisdom and insight.

“This” makes known to us “the mystery” of his will.

This “is” according to “his purpose”.
“This purpose’ which he set forth in Christ.

“His plan” for the fullness of time, is to unite all things in him (Jesus). “All things” (of every nation, tribe and tongue in the earth), in heaven and things on earth. (Ephesians 1:3-10)

Now let us continue on in Ephesians 1:11-14. “In him” we have obtained an inheritance, (which is in Jesus).

We have been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will.

This is so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

In him you also, “when you heard the word of truth”, the gospel of your salvation, and “believed in him”, were “sealed with “the promised Holy Spirit”, who is “the guarantee of our inheritance” (earnest) until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. When we receive our incorruptible new body upon Jesus’ return to the earth where those who have trusted in and know who He is, will be caught up with him in the air.

The evidence of His Spirit living in us assures us we are “in Him”.

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.

The reason why the world (those who do not know Jesus) does not know us (His blood bought ones) is that they did not know him. May the blind eyes be opened and the deaf ears unstopped.

Beloved, we are God’s children now, (we were born with His purpose in mind to be lived out in our own uniqueness).

What we “will be” has not yet appeared; (He has yet to return) None of “have arrived”, but we know that “when” he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is purified in Christ Jesus. Jesus rent the veil between heaven and earth when He gave His life for you and I and “in Him” Heaven returns to earth. He longs for His Bride (us) to be assembled into one that we may be ready to join Him and He can return. Jesus is our inheritance and “we” are God’s inheritance. Now are the mysteries of the gospel clearer for you? I trust it shall become so for as whosoever will believe and trust Him at His Word. You and I are therefore “impossible possibilities” are we not? It is actually rather simple once seen.

In so doing we determine to mirror the likeness of the character and heart of Jesus as closely as possible and with God “all such is possible to those who believe. It is not by our own might but by “His Spirit.”

I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Do not be “conformed” to this world, but be “transformed” by the renewing of your mind, (through the washing of the water of His Word) that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1,2)

Jesus said “Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. (John 15:3) Believe and trust that Word. Stake your life on it, pray, decree and become it.

Let us be found “in Him”. Jesus is all we need. For in Him do all things consist or are held together.

Discovering your Best and Destiny in 2018

Discovering your Best and destiny in 2018

Are you seeking to be a more refined version of who God created you to be? Do you believe you are destined for more than your current experience? Then you may want to journey with me on this blog.

I find myself venturing into 2018 on a personal adventure with God and this year has been referred to “the year of the door” and am discovering who I am on many levels as I discover more of who God is and the relationship He desires to have with me. I want to invite you to join me in this if you are interested.

I’m certain all of us would like to show up in life as better versions of ourselves. I sense there is a call to passionately move into our divine story, which is for the most part unknown. Perhaps we are called now in this time to build into our character a sense of integrity and excellence where we can take practical steps to live a faith filled life where we can begin to believe God for what may seem to be impossible. Belief propels exploration and I believe that God’s love and our expansion happens in real everyday life where we are in the moment.

One of my greatest desires is to see people receive the revelation that will help them advance through the door of their future that God holds for them. Do you hold dreams that seem impossible? Are they dreams that are in alignment with what the Lord wants for you or are they motivated from self generated pursuits? You can experience a peace that passes all understanding that will keep your heart and mind integral. You can have a level of joy that fulfills your sense of being as you are honestly walking in purity and integrity with God and with the other people in your life because you have a compass that is sure and true guiding your every step as you move through your journey aligned with the Spirit of God.

Jesus said “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” (John 8:31-32, ESV) “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! (John 15:7 ESV)

Abide in truth and you will discover your freedom- true freedom.
There is no need to be recognized or validated by any one but God. He who calls you is faithful to perform the work He began in you if you will invite and allow Him to. He designed you uniquely with plan that only you can fulfill. You don’t need anyone’s approval. Just step into who God declares that you are and stand on and hold to every word and promise He has given you. He has you.

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38) May this year you draw from his reservoir for you and your life will perhaps bring forth a life that you never knew was possible. Yes, all things are possible with God when your dreams are centered in His story for you. Self- motivated dreams usually lead to continual disappointment because they tend to be out of alignment with your divine appointment for your life. I invite you to a journey of discovery with me here in 2018.

Running the Race and Finishing Well.

Where do you place your faith in life and how are you advancing or are you?

God asks us to place our faith not in what we think we can do or in who we think we are.

It is likely most of us are living out an identity that is not necessarily entirely true to who we are.

So how can you discover who you truly are?

Go to the source of the One who created you.

God says that we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. We are to look to Jesus, the founder and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:1,2)

Whether you realize it or not there are many eyes that watch you and observe the manner in which you or I live. Your testimony testifies as to your identity.

Are there elements in your life that are weighing you down?

God never holds anything back from you. We hold ourselves back often unawares. God is all for us. (Romans8:31-39)

He destined us for a victorious life. Unbelief is the greatest entangling obstacle. Do you believe God for His promises that He has given you from His Word? Without faith therein is impossible to please God for we must believe that He is who He says He is and that He is a rewarder of those that earnestly seek Him.
(Hebrews 11:6)

We must look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

We are to run the race set before us which is the story God wrote for you and I to live and walk/run out. (Psalm 139:13-16)
(1 Corinthians 9:24-27)

The key to running well is your Joy in the presence of the Lord coupled with unshakable and unwavering faith. Being immersed and bathed in His extravagant love for you will give you an impetus of great measure for being the very best you be; out of your love for Him and the same love he gives you for others. You will serve and sacrifice and it will be pure joy to live so. If you have or are not experiencing that then pray and ask God for it that the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:18)

As the eyes are opened as to who God truly is then you will begin to discover who you truly are. It is totally transforming beyond anything you can ask or imagine. Then it is a journey of prayer and action. He will direct your steps. Only believe and trust Him. He is faithful as he has called you and will be faithful to complete the work that He has begun in you.
