Foundations in Loving Faith unto Transformation: An introduction

I am going to attempt to resume my address of foundations that are anchored in faith, forged in consecration, pursued with dedication and committed unto transformation. These are then purposed into steps of presentation into real life where the rubber meets the road as it were; in relationships. I am in the process of cultivating relational excellence in my life. This is just part of the process of a much grander picture. So let us begin once again. I apologize if I am repeating myself somewhat. I am simply sensing an urgency in getting the message out as a picture of something greater than I have ever known seems to be taking shape and while in prayer I am pressed to share it readily as possible.

If you have not read my previous post “Foundations that Truly Remain and Serve”, then please go back and do so before proceeding with this. I am writing in a progressive flow. This is much the content of my upcoming book by the way that is about to go into publishing status. The pace is very busy as it is proving to be quite an adventure to organize a foundational enterprise such as this seems to becoming. I an a newbie at this and God is giving me access to material I could not swim in before now and now it is a continual learning curve which is why I am taking the diligent steps to connect others who I discover are part of the picture. Hence the urgency where conventional means of communication can be quite challenging.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. We are to fully assure ourselves of what we hope for as vision and dream for that God has given you and to stand in absolute conviction that he is who he says he is and that the words he has spoken over you and I will be fully walked out. Yes, fully walked out. He will not just drop them in your lap although He does drop resources to us at times to remind us of His goodness.

It is likely going to take a series of days if not weeks for me to to bring forward what God has given me to launch through a unique project for a new season. This blog has been the launching base for this project and it shall likely morph into a foundational enterprise, as I see it at this point. I am entering the corporate entertainment arts and media industry. Introductions of new relationships therein have been being formed as I move through a process of networking, I have begun what is proving to be a most unusual journey. I “an unknown” for the most part in the industry may appear to some as “one who is just getting my feet wet” and so the mystery as to where this is leading and where I have been attempting to go with it prevails. Hopefully we can unravel what may seem to be misunderstood territory. What we really need to do is move into the new season and dispense with what no longer will work in the days ahead.

When God grooms and graces someone for a specific assignment in his Kingdom, He often moves in mysterious ways as to astound our resourcefulness that has become too dependent upon our own self reliance of our abilities that we have operated within old paradigms, in ways that reflect old systems, that will not operate cohesively in the setting of the atmosphere for the new season. When someone begins cutting into the old paradigms with teeth of a new threshing instrument they are often perceived with acute scrutiny. They can regarded as misfits and thus disregarded. I am aware of such. I am reaching out to such to help them get discovered for who God designed them to be. I’ve been there as “one of those” and therefore take action to change the status quo. Where old ways of connecting no longer serve the incoming new, let us consider some different means of coming together and merging our creativity upon the drawing board shall we?

I am an emerging screenwriter with an aspiring unique vision to put God’s Kingdom principles on display into a platform of presentation that shall go onto motion picture screens and saturate many forms of media. God is giving the blueprints for such and I am seeking to form and bring together a cohesive team or teams to carry forth a vision that carries such phenomenal proportions that are literally mind blowing to say the least. There is a producer that I am anticipating to partner with in this endeavor. I shall proceed to introduce my part of this picture and I trust that she may soon feel led to introduce her expertise into the arena. The gems in this industry are not the easiest to connect with sometimes. Like I said, God works in mysterious ways often times. Some of us hold back when we perceive that we may be considered odd or unconventional and may not be well received. However what and whom God calls forth “will” be moved into their niche in spite of the familiar and familial holding on to remain when it time for them to take a step back and restructure.

So why am I doing this and introducing what I have as such? Because I am determined to present my Jesus to my world in very practical and pragmatic ways that will capture the imagination and hearts of everyday people everywhere. I have not been of a “corporate mindset or lifestyle” prior to now but somehow God has other ideas as to who He created me to be so I am stepping into the arena purely by faith as I watch what He is doing and what he is speaking. I have a streak of creativity and there are others like myself breaking into the marketplace where we can introduce what God has put inside of us. This I walk out. In writing this and getting it out far and wide many more of us will find each other. Some of you may be reading this blog. I do get to read what some of you blog and just think if the right recipe were to come together? If you feel so inclined feel free to contact me or leave your comments. I am networking to connect with my to-be-team and this is one avenue that I am employing.

Please forgive me for the length of my writing. I carry ever so much to bring out and as to how to introduce it in a presentable means that can be received? I shall repeat and go more in depth in smaller dices that which I pray will help introduce you to your Jesus in a greater measures, in anticipation that all can come to know him in ways unimaginable and seemingly unfathonable. I have a long road ahead of me yet His mercies are new every morning. It is a reach and a stretch; stay tuned as there much more to come. My premise is: “The Righteous Shall Live by His Faith
and the Lord answered me; “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. (Habakkuk 2:@ ESV)

Foundations that Remain and Truly Serve

Today I am going to attempt to begin to address foundations that are anchored in faith, forged in consecration, pursued with dedication and committed unto transformation. These are then purposed into steps of presentation into real life where the rubber meets the road as it were; in relationships. I am in the process of cultivating relational excellence in my life. This is just part of the process of a much grander picture. So let us begin.

It may initially appear that I am going out on a limb as it were with some of what I must state for a record. I am in the midst of an encounter with God that exceeds what my mind can grasp, so this this morning as one who meets with Jesus face to face and encounters His love beyond measure; I commence to share that which He asks me to.

I began this day which can be humanly expressed as one where the only action one can take in an encounter such as mine, which is to lay their entire being at his feet. It was then to be enabled to take up life again; that life fully “in Him” resume “the walk”. However this is in a very polar opposite of what I was conditioned to believe what “walking out” life meant. When one rises up from laying prostate in his presence which felt as though it was eternity which would never end and it does never end most certainly, because the only I step I can take now is to allow my humanity to melt into His Presence and somehow continue to be. There has been a death of what previously stood in my way. That which was the basis of compromise which I could no longer allow to be part of who I am. There shall be more that must taste death; so that life may spring forth. That process shall never end until Jesus returns.

Before this morning I truly had no concept of what true faith actually consists of and therefore calls me to.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1)

What does this actually mean to me now? I have carried a hope and vision that in my mind had me shaking in my boots. I have been given immense vision by God and my dreams and my conscious day time visions are as vivid as the life I walk and I am called to make the two as one. May I put it poetically; I’ve established covenant in the heavenlies to anchor every phase and aspect of what I have seen and been shown into earthly practical steps and to bring the two into a physical marriage as it were. I am not speaking hypothetically but literally. Whatsoever we bind on earth has already been bound in heaven. What we loose on earth has already been loosed in heaven. So I move into new lands this morning to reclaim what has been stolen. I do so boldly and tenaciously now but yet the human part of me carries apprehension. I’m not giving place to fear, just acknowledging what comes natural in the process.

Please stay with me here and listen to what I have been directed to lay out this morning. I’ve pondered this for some time considering if I would I be deemed crazy for stating by faith that which may seem to be preposterous by declaring it as so and living as though it is already a living, breathing and fully-in-place reality.

My God calls things that are not as though they were so as I am in His likeness, how can I do any less? Just because my physical eyes do not bear witness to what all the rest of my being is vehemently claiming that is right before me, and though no person is speaking the words to affirm what my soul knows so well as being so, yet I cannot escape the fact the the vision and dream is coming to life.

It is birthing and breathing the breath of God into dry bones that had pretty much given up in my walk of life until the fire of the Presence of God touched my soul. I met my Jesus face to face and I am still alive in this body to write from my experience and how; oh how indeed am I even doing so? His presence has literally consumed who I was and now He asks me to carry His Presence in a new way into the world I walk in. Just how? Well no more questioning, I simply must and I do not care about anyone else’s opinion on the matter. I know what “He wants and asks” and I am prepared to step into it fully no matter how crazy it may sound to my own mind. Yes, my mind says it is impossible; you just don’t do things this way. But yes, I do, from this moment forward do so, in a new way. With God all things are possible to those who believe.

Let me just state that no one, and I mean no one, carries the depth and level of love for you and I that Jesus does. I stand in utter humility before Him and I can longer see myself but all I can see is Him and all I can sense is Him and the hearts of the ones he has brought into my life with whom I must be “one with” as Jesus is “with” me.

What I ask and and pray is that you may see that we are all truly one and I mean that literally. (Read John 17) It no longer matters what I feel and see physically because that is merely a fraction of the picture. It is a very limited perception. Please do not let that alarm you. I must simply love you as Jesus loves me. I can only demonstrate that with the life I walk out so be prepared to be immersed in love because it is a tide of torrential flow I can longer hold back; not now. Relax, I shall be gentle though fierce as a lion with determination. This is the river of His love. I embody “Zion’s River” and it is not a limited to a place or a building but it is a way of life. That is why I am here right now and it just so happens that I do associate with a physical place by the same name. Imagine that? To some of you who walk and serve with me in physical life this may convey to you a distinct message. Well, all I can ask is that you and I listen to the Spirit of God and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Do you carry an offence in your heart right now with anyone else in your life far or near? Then please release it now. We do not have time to hold on such. It is not worth whatever you think it it is. This applies to circumstances that surround you; not judging them, and please cease from judging your fellow brother or sister. So you perceive they hurt or wounded you? We are human and we falter. We say things we can never take back, but we can seek forgiveness from each other and have our hearts be healed and restored. How can we justify continuing to hurt and wound one another by remaining in an offence? Let alone how it hurts the heart of Jesus that perhaps you are witholding from surrendering this to him. He won’t force you but He waits for you; right now. Why continue to resist? It is not worth hanging on to.

I am addressing someone specifically here. You likely read this blog at times. This offence is between you and another and so I have pleaded in intercession for you two continually and the others it impacts and now I implore you to let go of this offence please. Don’t continue to hold on to it. The pain shows in your face. It hurts my heart. I am moved to say what I must. I observe you continually. I see the resistance you put up and so does Jesus. Nothing is worth hanging on tenaciously to such an extent. I have not named names and shall never do so but I shall reflect the love of our Saviour as He asks me to. There are many interceding for you I sense that somewhere inside you know what you need to do. Please don’t tarry.

I have been asked to take a side trail here today obviously and I shall resume where I left off at with laying out the nature of the true “why” of this blog and “where” it is perhaps taking us. In the next writing may we explore the foundation of love in faithful action that leads unto transformation. This leads us to where we can discover how to remain in the Presence of God as we walk out the story he has written for each of us to walk out. It is an “all in the moment” journey is it not?

He is our Righteousness; the Message of the Cross

I come by way of reminder today to restate why I share on this blog, my personal journey with God. I simply wish to keep my message simple and to the point and that being which is to declare openly and plainly the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how God is working through my life right now to bear testimony as to that and to who Jesus is. Who He is, illustrates why He came and offered and laid down His very life for you and I so that we could be reunited in Him back into One body and be One New Man in and through Him.

“The church” seems to carry with it many a mixed message and implication today.

This is merely an observation that I must honestly make and state. I am not here to judge and bring more division. I am here to unite us back into the very heart of Jesus.

What has happened to to the clear and pure message of the cross? Why is so much attention and focus given to many so many aspects “around” the cross to the extent that our eyes are so readily drawn away from the cross itself and it’s central message?

Why have interpretations thereof and programs and paradigms to “enhance” it become the life driving force in what many look to today as the church? By the way the message of the cross does not need anything added to it. It is entirely all sufficient and Jesus is all we will ever need.

What I observe around me brings a heaviness to my heart. So I must take a moment out to hopefully get us refocused and perhaps back into the heart of Jesus as the theme of Life itself. Some of us are there however many have departed so far from this.
Again merely an observation I hope to illustrate today.

After all, creation in it’s entirety is formed around and held together by “who Jesus is”. The more more humanity gets away from that core theme, the more divided we become.

For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
(1 Corinthians 2:2 ESV) That may not read as popular to some however I am not here to direct attention to my writing or my life in itself. I am here to glorify and illustrate the magnificence of the person of Jesus. He is my sole reason for being and living. May I please make that ever so clear.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be “no” divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has come to my attention that there is quarreling among ourselves, over the need to be right. What I mean is that some of you say, “I follow this person or this movement or that church” or such or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was any one person, movement or leader sacrificed for you?

I have simply responded to God’s call to declare and live the gospel of Jesus Christ and hold myself to it’s highest standard and excellence of quality of living and by way of example help to lead others toward the same; to magnify the person and Presence of Jesus.

Why do we often find ourselves drawn toward the need or affirmation from others that we are right and in order to justify that we go to make others wrong? I say do not look onto your selves or others but “look to Jesus” solely. There is to be no other pattern. He is the only “Pattern” of perfection we can look to. You see that is the problem from the beginning since the fall of man in the garden. Man goes about to establish his or her own righteousness and have taken our eyes off of the standard bearer. It is not a sin problem but rather the desire to make oneself wise and in so doing we keep ourselves divided. We think we can perfect God’s original template? I say that is an endless pursuit with no destination. The cross of Jesus Christ cannot nor will ever lose it’s power. But does man attempt to nullify it’s message?

“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. (1 Corinthians 1:18-21)

For consider your calling; not many of us are considered wise according to worldly standards, not many are powerful, not many are of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who may so become in His likeness to present wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Now I would remind you, once again of the gospel I declare unto you; that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures and ever lives to make intercession for you and I at the right hand of God the Father.

I choose to, in the eyes of much of this world, to made a fool for Christ’s sake if that is what seems to manifest. For I look to not that which is seen; the temporary but to the unseen; the eternal which carries a far more eternal weight of glory. I will glory in the excellency of knowing Jesus more and more with each eclipsing moment, looking only unto Him; the Author and Finisher of my faith and of all that is now and forevermore. He is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Ending, the Alpha and the Omega. I pray you will fix your eyes upon Him. May we agree with Jesus and surrender what keeps us from Him and from each other and lay this at the foot of His cross. The cross is our only hope. Lets’ return to the heart of it’s message so we can see heaven meet earth. This is what I live for and serve with all of my being; to have the sound of heaven touching earth!

Receiving the Water of Life Freely

Are you finding yourself thirsty beyond measure when it comes to life? Do you sense that there has to be more to this life than you have been led so far to discover?
Are you on a quest for such and just seem to keep coming back to where you started only to still stand empty-handed?

If so then perhaps you need to look beyond what you perceive to be limitations that you are perhaps holding on to? The call of God always lies beyond the other side of your perceived limitations.

God does not withold anything from you or I. He gave us His all when He Gave us His only begotten son, Jesus; “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. (2Peter 1:3)

Yes, He calls us to “excellence” in and through Christ Jesus. The full potential to walk after His likeness rests within, if you have received His righteousness in place of your own. In that instance, His Spirit dwells within, therefore as He lives there, we have His Presence enveloping us, the fullness of that which fills all in all.

Jesus is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the body, the ecclesia, created to be in His likeness. The body, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the body. The ecclesia is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence. (THE FULLNESS (EXPRESSION) OF HIM WHO FILLS ALL IN ALL.)

He makes all things new. Therefore if any man be “in Christ” He is “a new creation”. Old things pass or give way to the new.

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.”
(Revelation 21:5-7)

“These words are trustworthy and true”. He is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. the Alpha and the Omega. That encompasses and covers it all and everything in between.

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”

“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:1-21)

So if you are one who is athirst that I described at the beginning of this post, then thirst no more; come to the water that God has promised. You need not wait another moment. “These are the true words of God.” I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. “These words are trustworthy and true”.

Let me close with this; my testimony is that I have discovered that there is no human relationship or anything found in this life that can quench that “unsatiable thirst”. Anything or anyone short of Jesus will leave one remaining dry and in a constant and endless search for all eternity. All other relationships are to be formed from this primal one.

He will meet you right where you are. All you have to do is ask and invite Him; but you must ask. Believe Him. And when He meets you, then have you met the fulness of all in all, truly. There is nothing missing. He exceeds your wildest imagination and this is my testimony and I stake my life on it. Only believe His record, for with man things are impossible but with God “ALL” things are possible to they who will believe. Receive and life will never be the same.

But with God All things are Possible

Faith-Filled Foundational Transformation

A man once approached Jesus, asking him “what good action can I take toward eternal value?” And Jesus replied, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you seek to approach keeping a life of eternal value then keep the commandments.” The man then asked, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had…

But with God All things are Possible

A man once approached Jesus, asking him “what good action can I take toward eternal value?” And Jesus replied, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you seek to approach keeping a life of eternal value then keep the commandments.” The man then asked, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

What does it require in order to focus one’s walk in life onto eternal values of true Kingdom living? Jesus said that it would come with great challenge for the one who is heavily invested in a life centered on the values of this world. Most likely it would take considerable compression of one’s values that are anchored in the temporal things of this life in order for one to release such items or issues which have little lasting value in light of eternity.

Who then can find success in such a venture? Jesus replied; “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Man’s way is inclined in many cases to make superficial sacrifices that require little action from the heart. When man relies solely on his own resourcefulness apart from God’s intervention and provision he will in most cases fall upon a fate that offers little in the way advancement toward eternal or lasting values.

So what might taking up one’s own cross to follow after Jesus imply? Following an example He sets for us may we ask ourselves; “Do I have a heart of a servant who gives generously and is ready to offer up my very best unconditionally to serve whosoever God places in my path in perhaps what may even seem to be not convenient in the moment? Can I follow in Jesus’ footsteps and serve as He did?

Lacking nothing and possessing all things. In Christ, we can choose a place where offering our very best unto Him brings to us in exchange His best, fullfilling our highest sense of contentment. It is our choice to make. Such as the case of the woman we read of in Luke 7:37,38 where she came there with an alabaster jar of expensive perfume and she broke a highly valued jar in order to offer it to Jesus. She freely and willingly gave up which to her was likely a prized possession and offered and surrendered this to Jesus in an act of total submission. Her life exemplified one poured out. She offered her very best to the Master.

Has not God chosen those who are choosing to be poor in the aspects of this world so as to become rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? Where our heart truly is centered is where we also will likely invest our very best; our treasure. We can be rich in faith and let our actions demonstrate the same. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)

Jesus said “let everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, receive a hundredfold and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
(Matthew 19:29)

The disciples once came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. I think we get the idea here. Humble oneself in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift you up. Such find great expansesiveness in the Kingdom of God.

Abiding or merely Riding?

Have you ever been so very engaged in the fast track of life that it feels like things are flying ever so high and you wonder if it could feel any better than this? I’m sure many of us could attest to having such an experience.

When the ride is so exhilarating that you don’t even hardly stop to pause until suddenly piece by piece aspects of the ride begin to become dysfunctional and then you think that you “have this” and can merely make a pit stop and here and there; all in order to make some quick fixes or patches along the way. Then to say “I will manage to hold it all together until I feel justified”, to find a resting place where I can take some deep breaths and rest a spell and just smell the roses?

Getting “beyond tired” one does not secure much in the way of sustainable rest and then it is just about guaranteed that “crash time” will arrive and it will likely occur in the worst possible moment. Then I am truly sidelined and then when the object lesson comes into focus I ask myself just how did this happen? So let’s have an “aha” moment and take a timeout.

We are not wired to live this kind of pace but how easy it can become for this to be a pattern in which we run the race. Eventually, we will burn out and find ourselves sidelined for a spell and then it takes a while to recoup so we can go again.

My week comes to a close in a similar fashion right now and how many times have I became ensnared in such a scenario? One too many I must conclude. This blog is my recorded journey on a personal adventure with God and so here I share pretty much all. Confession is good for the soul, right?

Let’s recall what Jesus had to say about the matter, as that is what came to me this morning.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him; he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:1-5)

I can become so engaged “for the Master” if not careful that before long I can find myself relying on what I know that I can do in a familiar way and have drifted into autopilot and unaware that I am not tapping into the vine any longer. My resources are suddenly getting pruned because my walk has started to become unfruitful. What? How did I allow myself to fall into that trap?

Well, this cut me to the heart immediately upon realization. Yes, the intimacy was no longer present and somehow got severed in the midst of “my weariness”. Note here that Jesus said, “you are clean through the word I have spoken to you”. So where did I replace listening to His still small voice with “thinking” that somehow gained precedent? Yes, I tend to think too much and the thoughts drown out the voice of the one who loves me the most. Suddenly I realize that the honeymoon was interrupted, and where was I heading? Away from the lover of my soul! Oh, I am so feeling the impact of the repercussions from my careless actions. My heart melts; Oh how could I? But yet I did. Out a cascading flood of tears ensues and He is right here waiting for me and I return back to the honeymoon. In returning and rest are we saved, and in quietness and confidence shall be our strength, if we but shall so choose to take that extended hand offered, instead of staying on that fast riding horse of self-confidence; where if we remain on that ride, that which pursues will be even swifter and soon overtake us.

I resolve that I shall henceforth “be determined to be found “abiding in Him”. I just stepped into my new identity ever so recently and “already” was going on a rabbit trail of my own design. Old habits tend to die slowly in some cases but something tells me that this object lesson will remain deeply entrenched in my awareness. My heart has been awakened in loving response.

Continuing on with what Jesus said; “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full”.
(John 15:9-11)

I am in this moment back in the fullness of immense joy and the honeymoon has resumed and I am being renewed and the weariness is leaving. See how wonderful Jesus is; he never leaves even when I wander off.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.”
(John 15:12-17)

May you and I purpose to walk and remain in such love with the lover of our soul and with one another. Yes, we can walk in such love with one another! We are called to such and we are designed to live in this manner and this is what it means to abide in His love and live life to the fullest and more abundantly unto eternity. As we discover what it is to truly lay our life down for Him and for one another in unconditional surrender, then shall we know what it is to take it up again walking in newness of life; “a resurrected life”. This is living on purpose, walking out our divine destiny.
