A Loving Embrace Unto the Last Dance

Sometimes it seems I’ve been around forever.
Not without a song, no not ever.
A melody so sweet and low
Reflecting the one, with whom my heart does grow.

Jesus is the sweetest name I know
The name above all names in which all melody flows.
This is my story and this is my song,
From which Heaven and Earth shall resound, all the day long.

As I write and sing; night and day, day and night.
A tapestry is woven, of His story and song delight.
A song to which the whole world shall sing,
And joys rapture what the heart can sing.

Songs of love and special things,
Putting a step to my dance, I take a chance.
How about a little rock and roll,
Releasing the abundance of the soul?

Determined to just do it right from the start
Wasting no time trying to figure it out,
Simply jumping in no matter what;
Just going to do it anyhow.
Knowing I’ve never been this far yet.

Coming from a love so deep, I can hardly speak.
So rich and sweet, never knew my sleep could fleet,
Yet with a fullness, my all, it does meet

Holding that Word so close in my heart
That from my mouth, may it never depart.
Chasing the softness of its effervescence,
My song with it does mingle in the night,
Sparking such a loving delight;
Puts the enemy of my soul to at once to flight.

Eclipsing Light that apprehends my dreams,
Figuring out what love really means;
All darkness is dispersed and flees the scene

Giving Jesus all of my heart
Tis’ a real fine place to start.
Something’s happening I just can’t explain,
Surely can it touch what’s so real in the heart?

It calls to you and I
Beyond all doubt and fear
A song to last the night, until the day appears.

Make it simple to last a whole life long,
Does not matter if it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear,
Just sing it dear to the One so near.
Sing it simple that all might hear.

Singing of love for you and for me.
Only here comes release, where all are set free.
It’s changing everything I see,
It’s changing most certainly, you and me.

Right here, right now, tis’ plain to see
The perfect spot, the perfect time, the perfect moment;
Is now for loving you and me, don’t you see?

A divine moment, tis’ a really fine place to start.
I write the songs that make the whole world sing.
Songs of love and special things,
Capturing the heart and allowing it to ring,
Of the story and the song;
Apprehending the One I know and to whom belong.
