Good Morning my dear faithful and fellow readers! Today we come to a turning point in the road being Febuary 22. 2018. That in itself bears great significance. As this day unfolds perhaps you will begin to discover “the why” as to its significance. The second month, the twenty-second day and I approached the writing of this piece at 2:22 AM. There are no coincidences.
I am shifting the focus of this blog today as we have been peering into the looking glass as it were, into the very nature of the love of loves; the nature of, and the ingredients it consists of.
From one heart unto the Heart of Hearts, and back again. From and between you and I unto the King of Kings and then back again. This is a reciprocal love; never to be one side-sided or self-centered. It is to be fully extended and freely given and is to be exchanged time and time again, endlessly; may you see. This transcends the expanse of all time as we currently know or understand or it.
The shift in focus I speak of is, from one of “the nature” of this love, to the very “application thereof”, to everyday real life, where the wheels touch the road as it were.
Where are we going with this? Where is the Body of Christ going in relationship to Jesus and to each other? God has been speaking to me for months and especially the last few weeks concerning this and I discover that He is having me write unto you as a very expression of His heart at this moment, in which we experience as time. He is timeless, whereas in human form we choose to measure time in the manner that we do. This is merely my perspective of what I believe God is speaking, yet in that process, I yield to the direction and leading of His Holy Spirit to put these words into expression upon this page.
I have in the last few days sensed this message coming into view and taking shape and so here we are this morning, depending on where you are in this world, the time of day in which you read this may differ or vary.
My soon-to-be business mentor, to whom I was introduced to the other day, stated that she was bringing to me a “linchpin” as it were that keeps the wheel going around. What is a “linchpin” exactly and how does it apply here? Simply put, it is;
1. A person or thing vital to an enterprise or organization.
“regular brushing is the linchpin of all good dental hygiene”
2. A pin passed through the end of an axle to keep a wheel in position.
Merriam-Webster’s states as follows; 1. A locking pin inserted crosswise (as through the end of an axle or shaft)
2. One that serves to hold together parts or elements that exist or function as a unit, the linchpin in the defense’s case.
In essence, it is the pin that keeps the wheel on the hub and all the spokes in alignment. The glue that holds everything together.
Let us look to the Word of God for a moment, drawing from Colossians 1:11-20.
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.
May we give thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.
Through Jesus, we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins; The Preeminence of Christ.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.
Whether they be thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created through him and for him.
He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together.
He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross”.
Now allow me to illustrate in a real-life example if I may, using my vivid and what some feel to be “a little bit eccentric” imagination, an example of unconditional and agape love as Jesus wishes us to understand that we may truly and fully know and experience Him as He truly is. This is figuratively and yet actually unfolding in my life, in a way right now. It is between myself and a scout agent that brings talent together between the actors, writers and casting, namely director or producer of a film in creation. I am a screenwriter who she believes has a sales pitch I wish to run by her.
I actually have not approached her to “pitch anything”. I am approaching her to present potential revelation into a relationship, thereby inviting development into the potential of God’s divine purpose and appointment. One between her and myself. It could be a friend-to-friend consultation as she and I go back 20 years. It could be a business proposal and to take it to the next level even a marriage proposal. When I love, I do so fully with no conditions and no strings attached. Jesus loves me in this way so I choose to love others the same. Well, I am working on that anyway! Where does God wish to go with this? I have placed this entirely into God’s hand. I am merely one piece of the conduit through which He desires to move.
Anyway, I contact her and request a meeting over a cup of coffee. This is all over text message. She indicates a willingness to meet and offers me a couple of days and times, that are available. I reply that I am available for either and to just select the time and place and I will be there. I receive no response. I repeat and reiterate and still; no response. Hmmm; what is up with that? This has been going on for well over a week. I am not disappointed or taking it personally but merely wonder why there is no follow-through. This has occurred previously over the last year as well a couple of times. I find this to be a trend not only with her but with others in my life from time to time as well.
Let us quickly encapsulate where I am going with this. Many of us play out this dance with our relationships in varying forms. It can be in meeting new contacts, friend to friend, business partners or potential-to-be or existing marriage partners.
Why are some of us hesitant to let go and freely love one another without conditions being set in place? Are we afraid to allow the walls we have erected to come down? What if we, in our hearts, truly desire to love one another freely but something is making us apprehensive to allow ourselves to release the barriers that reveal a sense of fearing vulnerability? So we avoid and make evasive maneuvers to avoid coming together truly or fully so we often resign to go it alone.
Is this why we fail to build cohesive teamwork in our lives? Remaining disconnected are we to remain isolated from one another? Can a new contact instill in us a fear of becoming friends? Can friend-to-friend-connection experience fear of entering a partnership, business or otherwise? Do potential or existing business partners fear deeper relationships that go beyond doing business? (I do mean within respecting the honor and integrity within the relationship) Are we afraid to get personal? Does getting intimate present challenges to us?
I am not implying anything improper either. What I am implying is to be open-faced with one another; that a greater glory has a chance to manifest in between. We seem to see now through a glass darkly and the change in this blog is to illustrate that we come and behold one another face-to-face. Are you open to continue with me? I seem to be venturing into being fearless in my faith. Do you wish to come with me?
Then let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. I close with the words of a piece of music written by Charles Wesley. I modernized the wording so we may take these words to heart more readily. Will you open to the possibilty that stands before you and I in this expansive moment? Look at your relationship with Jesus and with the others in your life in light of the message portrayed here. God Bless.
Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of Heav’n to earth come down;
Fix in us your humble dwelling;
All your faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, You are all compassion,
Pure unbounded love, You are;
Visit us with Your salvation,
Enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe Your loving Spirit
Into every troubled breast!
Let us all in You inherit;
Let us find that second rest.
Take away our bent to sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Your life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Nevermore Your Presence leave.
May we always You be blessing,
Serving You as Your hosts above,
Pray and praise You without ceasing,
Glory in Your perfect love.
Finish, then, Your new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see Your great salvation
Perfectly restored in You;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in Heav’n we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before You,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
