Loving unto Eternity

Good morning readers! Thank you for joining me here again on this personal journey with God. How are you all faring out there in this moment? If you are still here then chances are that you are searching for a true sense of fulfillment that can bring a sense of contentment and satisfaction that literally transcends all our human understanding and reasoning.

We are all on a journey and it is all by design and the question to ask this morning is “who and/or what are you and I fully allowing to author and finish this masterpiece of meticulous crafted art”?

Where does this process begin and where does it end? It does neither because it is a journey of eternal nature. So let us this morning reflect for a a moment the awesome expansiveness of eternity shall we?

No beginning and no ending: what does that speak to you? What does that suggest? Does it pique your imagination? I certainly hope so.

You see in order to sit in this space you are to become as a little child once again. For if you do not do so, you will likely grow uneasy and feel inclined to bolt and run. And why is that, do you ask?

It is because perhaps because when you are not in the innocence, simplicity and freedom of imagination then you are likely caught up in a web of complexity that has lost its congruence. This becomes sticky and mucky and like a spider web encircles and clings and entangles and you then become aware that your movement is becoming very encumbered and restricted. You no longer are experiencing the ease and grace in which to navigate that life is meant to afford. Does this sound familiar and am I speaking to someone this morning? Ah, yes I am aware that I am perhaps feeling where some of us are in life right now.

As I sit here I ponder into the experience that is unfolding within your being in this very moment, I ask; will you be patient with this process that I am introducing you to? You see, it is not anything new I am addressing here for this has always been from the foundation from which time began and and it shall never end. Welcome to eternity. There is nothing new under the sun. It is simply a matter we tend to forget, that our nature was wired for eternity.

Eternity is always in motion. The problem with us is that we become static where our lives can cease to move and flow with the nature that a child lives and navigates in. Can we not become monolithic in stature? I believe that some can, do or have become so.

Do we become as a large single upright block of stone, especially one shaped into or serving as a pillar or monument? So set in stone; set in “our ways” as it were that we become rigid in our thinking and we lose the expansiveness to drink in and discover from the unique qualities and character of those that we find drifting and venturing into our lives? Then we say within ourselves “Oh I don’t like this or that in this person so I am going to pick and choose and if what constitutes their expression of character does not fit my mold of comfort, I will simply push them away. After all I am usually right and it feels good to exercise that right. After all what do they know? They don’t know even me” Ouch! Such rigidity isolates readily, and with whom can your life now flow? A lonely place indeed in which to find oneself. Perhaps a little over emphasis, but you get the point, right?

Can we become as a large and impersonal political, corporate, or social structure regarded as intractably indivisible and uniform? One that is unwilling to bend and allow change? This hardly invites a cohesiveness amongst us and how is such inducive unto creativity?

Allow me to simply say here that we are not designed to become as non-moving monolithic rock formations that become so solid and rigid and immensely heavy that the rudder of our life becomes anchored in the sandbar because we ventured away from the expansiveness of the seas that are to keep us afloat and moving. Are your sails fully extended from their masts to embrace the soft trade winds that are gently offered to maintain the fullness of your sails and keep them fully extended, soft and pliable? Or are your sails down and still tied to the mast?

We are designed to be always moving are we not? Then we may encompass life in a fullness where we have to be open and willing vessels.

It seems I have taken us far enough in depth with this subject this morning. Graphic descriptive dialog awakens the senses and sometimes helps to pivot us out of our complacent nature and catapults our senses into a curve that invites fluidity.

Please know that I come from a heart of love, yet a heart that is healing from what I have described above. Yes, I have been there and I write from the heart of my own journey. I reflect from an entirely new space in this day and hour.

I leave the temporaral behind and allow it to fade into the place of obscurity. The temporal being, namely the temporary in-the-moment circumstances that simply present to us some contrast so we don’t get stuck in one place. We are not to create doctrinal thesis’ by which we rule and walk out life based upon what we feel and see. The temporal does not matter beyond the moment it was introduced. Draw from it and move on.

So what exactly is eternal in nature that has always been and ever shall be? God Himself. There is no other. The Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and Ending, the First and the Last. Love has a name His name is Jesus. The Author and Finisher of our faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You either take God at his word or you do not. God gave us the choice to choose. So choose you this day whom or what you shall serve.

I choose Love because God is Love. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16) We have begun to take a look at “eternal” life this morning along with its contrast.

You and I are ever so loved. We have the same capacity within “to so love” one another. This has begun to overshadow and consume and envelop who and what I was, which was a false story about myself that I believed to be true. I am so very in love with life now because I am beginning to actualize and be engaged with the One “who is love” and the very source and essence of life. I am so engaged with the process thereof and it is a process and not a magical formula. You must creatively build and nurture it every moment; cultivate it constantly and consistently.

And I leave you now with God’s very word’s on the matter from 1 John 4 ESV. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Anyone who does not love, does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear”.

Be in love. I shall endeavor to be in and express unto no end the love I hold for each of you. A love that passes all understanding that keeps our hearts and our minds in and through Christ Jesus. I give and offer it just as it has been offered and given unto me; unconditionally and freely. Freely receive and freely give. God bless.
