The call of the Father’s heart to each of is simply to call us back to love.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
God is love and He will not go against his character! Love keeps no record of wrongs.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (1John 3:1)
The problem many stumble over today is when we try to operate within our own knowledge, for when we do so we are operating within a very limited mindset and concept of who God is. We are called to stand in the humility of our love solely and purely and add nothing to that. Otherwise our perception can become skewed and we lose sight of what the true love of God is. We are called to such a radical love with our God and with our fellow man. This and this alone will bring the true transformation for which the heart seeks.
“But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. (Hebrews 10;12-14)
Jesus’ sacrifice has been applied across the entire timeline of history. We are free to “become” what His blood already declares that we “already are”.
For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (John 1:16-17)
We can see that “Law was given through Moses”. “Grace and Truth comes through Jesus Christ”.
The Law revealed “sin”, which is the result of the problem that created it; that being what actually causes man to seperate himself from God is, when he goes about to seek his own righteousness and holiness, which places him into a place of failure and condemnation.
Since we can’t live in a place of “less than”, we then end up creating our own level of righteousness by which we condemn ourselves and judge everyone else.
Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. “He” is the Revelation” of all that we ever need know and experience.
I am going to stop here today and suggest that we allow ourselves to digest this. I ask that we ponder this and begin to discover what love truly is as defined by the Word of God. This is very much on my heart that we dispel the cloudiness that can so easily obscure a a view of who God truly is and who He created us to be.
